I have a boyfriend - if you could call it that - i wont explain it as you wouldn't understand but im worried about him. He is totally in love with me one moment then the next will be biting my head of about something.

Should i dump him or what? Its not serious but its hurting me when he has a go at me. I feel bad for him but don't know if this is just him being a teenage boy?

I get really panicky when im late places.

When i go to school i get driven and everyday my sister makes me late and i get really panicky.I feel really sick and get hot and breathe heavily. It really annoys my mum and sister.

Could these be panic attacks or just anxiety ? Is there anyway to stop them apart from trying to be more punctual.

My 2 dwarf puffers are fighting each other and my other 4 and are causing them to puff up.

My mum said that she didn't want me to separate them because she said what if Auroa doesn't calm down or another puffer challenges him she said she doesn't want to buy more tanks . Im wondering if anyone else has or knows if i separate my 2 fighting puffers and put my oldest in my spare 5 gallon if it will stop he fighting or wait it out?

2 of my 6 dwarf puffers have been fighting recently. They have puffed up 2 times. There have been no serious bites so far except a bite out of a tail. Some of the baby puffers are getting quite upset by the fighting and one of the dominant puffers stop some of the others eating.

Any ideas weather i should put the most dominant puffer in my spare 5 gallon or wait it out and see how it goes?

Im going to order some pond snails online for my dwarf puffers as my LFS doesnt get many in and they get annoyed when i ask to buy them.

I have a quarantine tank but i was wondering how & how long i quarantine them before feeding them to my puffers.

I have a planted aquarium because i dont like the look of fake plants.The problem i have tough is tht they tend to die easily , im getting better at keeping them alive but my java fern is growing new buds and seems healthy but some of the leaves are brown as well as some of my other plants dying.

Would it be worth me getting a C02 defuser if not what else can i do to keep them alive. I have a bright light and a lessbright/dimm.

I have a 15 gallon aquarium with dwarf puffers & ottos. Its not overstocked with a sand base , heavily planted and over filtered. I do 30% weekly water changes.

Everytime i do my water changes the fish get distressed and the nitrites go really high , i usually have to move them to my quarantine so they dont die.

I use dechlorinator and add some bacteria.

Any ideas why this might be happening? Also the tanks been established for months and is cycled

As im sure many of you know i used to have 4 dwarf puffers wich were always at the front of the tank swimming around. After my 2 died a few weeks back my remaining 2 are increadibly shy , they generally stay at the back of the tank but after a few weeks in the 5 gallon quarantine they were getting slightly friendlier anyway i moved them to their new 12 gallon yesterday , i never see them now and cant draw them out of the back , is this normal? Are they still adjusting?My 3 ottos are very friendly so its not the tanks parameters ( all perfect btw).

I have a 12 gallon , over filtered. My ottos eat algea wafers and i propose to grow algea in my seperate tank ( algea grows way to quickly for me ) and on some stones on the window sealas well as the tanks natural algea.

Would 3 ottos be okay in this tank?

Would 2 dwarf puffers & 3 ottos in a 12.4 gallon with sand base, heavily planted and 50% water changes weekly be overstocked ?

Im thinking of getting the aquanano 40 ( 55 litres/12 gallons) for my 2 dwarf puffers for £109.

Any toughts on the tank? I think its really nice but need others opinions.....

I have always been told to do 50% water changes for my dwarf puffer tank , my nitrites readings go up to about 1.5 ppm after a water change so i called up my LFS and I was told i should only do 10% by my LFS.

How much do i do?

I used to have 3 dwarf puffers , one was very dominant and constantly picked on my subservient male. I was told buying another would help spread the aggression. Sadly a few weeks later due to unrelated issues the 2 out of the original 3 puffers died leaving my new half the size puffer and my dominant ( i think male ) puffer.

My male is over double the size of my baby ; who im not sure the sex of , the baby doesnt really eat at all all tough she clearly wants to she sits in the corner watching the food fall , if she goes near it he will chase her away.

Is there anything i can do to stop this?Currently there in a 4 gallon quarantine because their tanks broken so a new tanks comming in a few days - 1 week but these problems have been going for months. There tank will also be 14 gallons between the 2 of them.

Should i be worried and what should i do?

My 20 gallon will have my current 2 dwarf puffers & 3 ottos in it. I dont plan to get any more puffers if i do i would only get 1 more to make 3. Should i get more ottos , would my tank allow that?

II was told by my LFS to clean my filter by washing it in old tank water thoroughly.

Will this kill my bacteria or will it be okay?The filters only 2-3 months old

I have neve had a tank this big before so im out of my depth so to speak.

Just wondering do i still do 50% water changes on on the new 60 gallon tank or do i do less? Is it harder to clean or the same?Anything special i need to do? Algae is taken care of because of my ottos but because i have dwarf puffers i have been told to do around 50% weekly.
