  • FOR OLDER, EXPERIENCED ADULTS Please: What actions should we take in this situation?

My uncle is a user and a hustler of people. My uncle was once a marine, then he went AWOL, but before that he was living in Denmark married a woman had a kid with her, along with impregnating another woman at the same time. After his inevitable divorce he left Denmark leaving his two sons behind and didn't speak or see them again for 16 yrs.

Recently, the eldest son wanted to meet his father so his mother saved up and brought him along with her daughter, from another relationship, to the States. My uncle told me for the past two years that I would be able to meet my cousin soon all the way up to 3 months ago saying happily " My sons coming this summer." Now you would think he would have saved his pennies to prepare for their arrival, Nope! It was like a surprise to him because his ex-wife out of the kindness of her heart and for her sons sake took care of all the financial dealings. Meals, shopping, sight, seeing she paid for, which would have been fine if it was just for her kids but she paid my uncles way also because he wanted to go too. The rest of the family treated them as anyone should a guest but my uncle made himself their guest. He has no shame.

Lastly, and the real issue at hand is he is stealing and taking advantage of my grandmother. My grandmother who is experiencing the first stages of Dementia. At first he was forging checks, writing her name on the checks himself and cashing them. Then my mother found out about it and got into is *** so we thought he stopped. (Yeah right) He took my grandmother to the bank and had her withdraw cash and gave it to him. My grandmother now doesn't have money to pay any of her bills or buy her necessities. He knows she is sick and we are all pulling together to help her but he decides to sneak behind our backs after having been warned. We live in a small city so finding out dirt is not that hard especially when you bank at the same place or work with police like my parents do. We don't know why he is doing this to his own mother or how to stop him.

  • How can I get him to use bathroom when we go out?

I have a 2 yr old boy who I am potty training. He will use the potty at home, just peeing so far, working on getting him to poop in the potty too, but when we go out and I take him to the toilet he won't sit on the toilet. I cover the public toilets of course but how can I convince him to use the toilet outside instead of going in his training pants?
