3 AnswersMathematics7 years agoDerivative of log(x) by definition?
Using the derivative as an incremental quotient
i.e. lim(X->0) Change in y / Change in X
Find the derivative of log(x)
I'm not looking for 1/x, but what I should do to using the definition given.
Now, I have an idea that I expand this to a series and sum the terms but a little stuck.
Thanks

7 AnswersMathematics8 years agoWhy the Death of massive stars...?
it's been said that the way massive stars die is an important factor in the evolution of the universe
which processes allowed for this evolution?
-I know is because when they are at there end-points the star will collapse and this produces massive temperatures and pressures, that of high enough magnitude so that heaver elements may be produced in this event, also know as a supernova.

so, I'm almost 17 and I've been trying to find out where i can get my NI number.
i APPARENTLY did get a card on my 16th birthday however my farther 'looked' after it and now has apparently lost it;
I've asked for him to obtain the number again for me... it's been over 4 months now, so understandably i am ticked off.
So i want to get the Number, not the card with the number as i know i can only get 1 replacement for myself in my lifetime, any websites or telephone numbers would be appreciated.
thanks.

cable consists of strands of cupper wire, each has a diameter of 1.35mm
1)calculate the cross sectional area of one strand
2)calculate the resistance of a 100m length of cable, given the resistivity 1.6x10^-8
3)cable carrys 20A, whats the potentional difference (voltage) between the ends of the cable
i'd just like the formula so i can check it with mine, no need to work it all out although an answer might be benificial ;]

2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoGil Grissom leaving CSI, His best moments?
Actor William Petersen is to leave CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, having been with the TV forensics drama since its first episode eight years ago!
He will still make guest appearances as Gil Grissom but his character will no longer be seen on a regular basis, two of the show's executive producers said.
NEW CHARATOR!!
A new male character will join CSI in place of Petersen
"Whoever comes in and joins the team after Grissom is going to be a different guy. But the nature of the show and what fans get out of it, that's not going to change."
The programme is broadcast by CBS in the United States and seen around the world, with Five screening it in the UK.
-----> So... DO you think CSI will be the same without him?
-------------->can they still produce the same brilliant crimes and still make them intresting to watch?
-------------->How do you think the new charator will compare up to Gil Grissom?
-------------->maybe.. it will be ok? and you didn't see Gil Grissom as a great charator.. ?
Best CSI moments in your memory? :)
