1 AnswerFacebook1 decade agoMy Computer always says to change resolution to 1920 x 1080?
When my computer is booting up a notice appears on the screen saying for best results to change screen resolution to 1920 x 1080. It also does this when I start some of my Oberon Media Games. BUT when I check my display settings it shows that it is set at 1920 X 1080. Does the monitor itself need to have the setting changed? Any good advice would be most welcome.
4 AnswersMonitors1 decade agoWhy does Internet Explorer8 need to be reset as default each time I go on the internet?
When using my laptop (Windows Vista) each time I go on the internet a pop up comes to tell me that IE is not the default browser, & asks if I wish to make it the default. I always click onto 'Yes'. But it doesn't seem to take effect for the next time and has to be repeated each time. I have no idea what is the default browser when it says IE is not the default.please help.
2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoCan you explain .dat files?
I sent a friend a Windows Media Player attachment in an email. She has sent it back, but it is now a .dat file - I can still open it because I know that it was a .wmv file originally. But most of her attachments Word, PDF, Powerpoint & Excel come as .dat files. Does anyone know why this is and can she change her setting to stop this from happening??
