baby betta won't eat?
i bought him from petco 2 days ago and he seems to be really active. he'll swim to the food, look at it, then swim away. when i walk past him, he'll beg. i tried feeding flakes, hikari micro pellets, and crushed betta pellets. i called petco and they weren't much help (sorry petco lovers).
i'm getting kinda worried because i have another baby betta that i bought last year around christmas(in a different tank of course, ) and he gobbled up his food the very first time i fed him, the same night i brought him home.
i heard bettas are picky eaters, but i'm just paranoid that the new baby betta is going to starve himself. help, please? and thanks.
3 AnswersFish9 years agohorse people please tell me your opinion.?
I'm in college right now and for a class, we have to memorize dog breeds, cat breeds, horse breeds, ect. For the horse breeds, the categories on the list are draft breeds, pony breeds, color breeds, and...saddlebreds?
the horses listed under the saddlebred category are the arab, the quarter horse, the thoroughbred, the morgan, the saddlebred, and the standardbred.
Now, I'm pretty sure all the breeds i just listed are supposed to be categorized as pleasure or light horses. I don't ever remember hearing a quarter horse or a thoroughbred being a saddlebred.
So anyway, i asked my teacher and she said she didn't know much about horses, but that we would just keep those horses under the saddlebred category.
I'm a little ticked off right now because my horse is NOT and never will be a saddlebred of any kind and college isn't cheap. I figure that if I'm paying for a COLLEGE class, the info we learn should be right. I was thinking about bringing this situation to the attention of the dean, but i thought i might be overreacting. Which is why i would like the opinion of other horse people.
4 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agohorse wont walk straight under saddle.?
she likes to drift off to the left while being ridden both bareback and under saddle. i've asked several people about this, but they told me not to worry about it. i also noticed she'll usually only drift when we're walking AWAY from the barn, so i think maybe she might want to go home...
she will walk straight when she's in her pasture though, and yes her feet have been checked.
7 AnswersHorses1 decade agogone fishing...please, gobies, dont bite.?
i fish along the boat harbors of door county, WI and was wondering if theres a secret to avoid catching gobies. i went fishing today with my dad and we brought nightcrawlers and minnows. right away we caught four yellow perch, then the gobies came. they bit on both baits. gobies seem to suck the bait right off without being caught and thats how it is when we're fishing anywhere on the any waters connected to the lake. the only thing we can think of to do is to use three prong hooks so the gobies cant get off so easy. but its a hit on our bait supply.
does anyone have any tips on how to not catch gobies or is that impossible?
