I booked a holiday and was told that I was going to stay at a 4 star hotel but when I got there, the hotel turned out to be a 2 star hotel. Apparantly this was in my contract but I was too excited about the awesome deal I was getting that I didn't read it. I moved myself to the 4 star hotel but had to stay in a very expensive room because the hotel was all booked up. I asked the travel agency to compensate me on this but they said they would only give me money for a standard room at the hotel. Can anyone help me with what I can do? Should I contact a solicitor? Is this like a misrepresentation on the travel agents part or something???? This is a Uk issue and I would really like some advice from UK helpers please. Thank you all!
