  • Specific Heat Question?

A 360-g metal container, insulated on the outside, holds 180.0 g of water in thermal equilibrium at 22.0°C. A 24.0-g ice cube, at the melting point, is dropped into the water, and when thermal equilibrium is reached the temperature is 15.0°C. Assume there is no heat exchange with the surroundings. For water, the specific heat capacity is 4190 J/kg ∙ K and the heat of fusion is 3.34 × 10 5 J/kg. What is the specific heat capacity of the metal of the container?

I keep getting c=1085J/kg*K and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

    Thanks in advance

  • Knee still hurts after getting stitches two weeks ago?

I fell a couple of weeks ago and had to get stitches on my knee. The stitches look mostly healed and infection free. However, my knee still hurts to bend and I have to use a cane to get around. There is also a bump on my knee that is quite painful. Can anyone tell me what else could be wrong with my knee? I'm going to the doctor Monday but I want to try and get some answers now. Thank you.

  • Can anyone tell me what these correlation of symptoms might be?

Lately I've had headaches, neck pain, back pain, back spasm, I felt light headed last week one day, and I also had two nosebleeds over two days. I would also like to point out that I fell and hit my head pretty hard about a month ago. I don't know if it's related but I thought I should share. None of my symptoms have been extremely painful but they are quite irritating and they tend to come out of nowhere. Please help. Thank you.

  • Nose bleeds and hit to the head?

On Saturday I fell and hit my head against the ground pretty hard. I didn't think much of it until yesterday when and I got a pretty bad nose bleed out of nowhere that lasted about 10-15 minutes. I also had another one today that lasted a little shorter then the one I had yesterday. The last time I've had a nose bleed was well over five years ago so I'm just wondering could my head injury be related to these nose bleeds? Thank you.

  • I turned my head and I heard and felt a loud crack followed by extreme pain. What may have I done?

I know I posted this question before but due to the limited answers I am posting it again. Last night I was walking to my room and I turned my head to the right to look at something and I heard and felt a loud crack followed by extreme pain in my neck. It hurt so bad I fell to my knees. Now every time I turn my head to the right or I look up or down I get an extreme pain in my neck. Can anyone tell me what I did and how I should go about treating it? I've tried using a heating pad but it has not helped at all. I would also like to add that earlier in the day I took a pretty bad fall where I hit my head hard against the ground. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my injury but I thought it would be a good idea to share this information. Thank you.
