Music & Music Players1 decade agoWill legalizing marijuana have the same effect on the U.S. as the Opium War did on China?
To me, the similarities are staggering. If it becomes legal, the use will become widespread. Of that, there is no doubt. And with everyone high and unable to function, what will happen to society?
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow is a U.S. Naval Academy Freshman treated?
I ask this in comparison to West Point, because I know someone who went there and I was told that being a Freshman there was basically "being everyone's b*tch." Is the Naval Academy similar in this respect?

Just out of curiosity, I wanted to know this. I personally get it from Fox News (Republican biased news), MSNBC (Democrat biased news), and the Onion (Hilarious news).

2 AnswersStandards & Testing1 decade agoWhat is the animation in UP (by Disney) considered? 3D?
Ok, so the animation from UP is considered 3D in comparison to something like 101 Dalmatians, which was 2D. But there is the option to view the movie in 3D at the movie theater with special glasses. What is the animation considered then?
5 AnswersComics & Animation1 decade agoGood "indoor" exercises to train for a triathlon?
Hi, I'm in high school right now and am getting interested in training for a triathlon. I run and swim, and I want to start biking soon. What sort of indoor exercises (not sure about the correct terminology for this, but I do know that in swimming terms it would be called "dryland") do I want to do to supplement me along? I know core workouts are pretty essential, but what else?
4 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoIs holding the push-up position close to the ground bad for your shoulders?
Close to the ground meaning where your body is only a few inches from the ground. Essentially, the "down" part of a push-up. I held it for a minute today, and my shoulders started to bother me. I'm wondering if that's normal muscle soreness, or if its the beginning of an injury.

It seems highly unlikely that it would since microsoft has a great product that does that but costs freaking $100, but still it doesn't hurt to ask around. I know that it was contain a camera, microphone, and processor, but have heard nothing about a network adapter? Any rumors?

4 AnswersTeaching1 decade agocomputer science internship for high school sophomore in the summer?
I'm going to be a sophomore in high school this fall and i wanted to plan out my summer for next year since all I've been doing this summer is sitting around this house. I figured I might as well look for a job/internship next summer. I chose the internship option because I don't think I could stand doing some brainless job while taking orders from idiots all summer. I want to get an internship in a computer science related job because that's what I plan on majoring in college. Also, it has to be a summer internship because I'm really busy during the school year with extracurricular activities. I get decent grades and I'm in all hard courses. I will be in an AP computer science course this coming year and I've already taken a course in computer science last year. I know some VB.NET and some java. My GPA is a 3.86. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to find an internship as an underclassman in high school, especially in the computer science field. Any advice???
1 AnswerTechnology1 decade agoHelp in installing Windows XP on an HDD?
Hi all. Alright well i have a fairly decent computer that uses Vista. I primarily use it for games and school. unfortunately i play games that we're made in 2003 (ie. knights of the old republic). and because of that, some of them do not work (ie. knights of the old republic). Well i got so fed up with it that i want to use XP. I dont want to go buy a whole nother computer because i dont have that kind of $$ to waste. And besides, my brother also has Vista, and it could be a mojor asset to have XP whenever we want to and just have to plug it in. Now im not the most advanced computer person in the world and i have no clue how to do it.
