I want to buy a good beginner bike, something that's not too expensive... I played around on my friends Honda Shadow, but I have problems controlling the clutch. I want a bike with very low stall rate. I am a soldier, so a scooter or a moped is out of the question, my buddies will never let that die. I thought about Yamaha V Star 250, but I cant really find any info on it. Any suggestions?

I am enlisting at advance grade E3, and I was wondering if the Army would waive TIS criteria for me to be promoted to E4 as long as I satisfy TIG?

How quickly can one get promoted from E3 to E5 in the Army? I am a little confused about the promotions in the Army. I've heard some people made E5 in four years starting from E1. My MOS is 68W. So what is the promotion rate and turnover rates are like in the Army? Current and former Army personnel please. Thanks.

I thought I was leaving for Ft. Benning, but it turns out I am actually shipping out to Ft. Jackson, so what is the basic training like at Ft. Jackson? How hard is the physical aspect? What is the daily schedule like? Please be truthful and those who had the pleasure to attend the BCT at Ft. Jackson please, I am shipping out in March.

Can I get in US Army Airborne? I had a knee surgery 12 years ago. My knee feel great, never better. I can do everything with it, run, jump, kick people in the head, but will the army limit my participation abilities?

I would like to know if I can work out with my recruiter to get into shape so I can pass physical and get ready for boot camp. It sucks doing it on your own and I can't find a workout buddy. Will they help me to workout on weekends?
