  • Applying for Citizenship?

I am in the USA for over 3 years as a permanent resident. I got my green card through my father, who is also naturalized. I am above 18 years old. Again, I am already in the United states with a green card. I am going to apply for a citizenship, but I am confused on what form to fill.

N400 - Does not talk about a US Citizen child. The form only mentions the spouses.

N600 - Only talks about UC Citizen child who is under 18 years old. This does not apply, because I am 22.

How many years I have to keep my permanent residency, before I can apply Citizenship?

    Thanks

  • Meal Replacement for Dinner?

I recently start to use GNC Lean Shake (meal replacement). Two week meal plan came with the lean shake. According to plan, I need to replace breakfast and lunch with the lean shake and eat healthy (fish, chicken, salad etc) for dinner. I don't have a problem with my eating habits for breakfast and lunch. I always eat healthy during these hours. My problem is the dinner. I sometimes eat more that I suppose to eat or I eat late.

I want to replace my dinner with this protein shake, so I control what I eat at night. But I am not sure if this will create something that will make me gain more. Because the two week menu says replace with lunch and breakfast.

Have you ever used protein shake for dinner?

  • How do you know, you are ready?

I am 30 years old and my husband is almost 40. Everybody around us tells me that I need to have a baby, it is the time... But I don't feel ready. I feel like I need to do so many things before i get pregnant. But these so many things never ends. I don't want to regret my decision when I am 40. I feel like when I have the baby, the life is pretty much over for myself, baby will be the priority. HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE READY TO BECOME A MOTHER?

  • When can I reseed my lawn after using weed killer?

I am going to reseed my lawn but I need to kill weeds first. How long I need to wait to reseed after using liquid weed killer?

Before I reseed, I need to aerate the lawn right? Do I have to rent the machine? I heard that renting the machine will cost at least $150. Is there any other way to aerate?

I will also fertilize the lawn too. Do I need to fertilize before reseeding or after reseeding? If I need to fertilize before reseeding, how long I need to wait before I reseed?

    Thanks

  • How and when to apply weed killer?

I am trying to kill the weeds in my yard (lots of weeds). I purchased the liquid weed killer but I am not sure in what type of temperature I need to apply the weed killer. We are in North Carolina and it has been raining for two days. Should I apply the killer when the ground is wet OR I should wait until the weather is sunny?

  • Applying Green Card for my daughter...ASAP?

I am US citizen and I want to bring my 18 year old unmarried daughter to USA from Turkey. Because of her bad living conditions, I am trying to find the fastest solution.

Does anyone how long does it take to get her green card if we apply while my daughter is outside of the United States?

Should I bring her with tourist or student visa to USA and than apply for a green card? As all you know, there is always a big risk to get a visa. Is it worth to take a chance?

Which way would be faster, bring her to USA and than apply a green card or apply while she is in Turkey?

I really need help... I need to bring her as soon as possible for her future...

  • Please Help!!! From H1-B to Green Card thru Marriage?

I have been working with H1-B for five years and my H1-B will expire in July 2009. I got married three years ago and my husband became US citizen last month. I am still holding my H1-B visa and never applied for green card. I want to apply a green card thru my husband and I prepared most of the documents but I have questions on I-864 and I-485.

Do I need to fill the I-864 or I-864W? If i fill I-864W, than I have to proof that my income will continue after optaining the greecard. How can I guarantee this? My husband can sponsor me by himself too but we have been filing joint tax return last three years. If my husband fill I-864, he can show my income too but again I have to proof the income continuation again. I am really confused. Please give me your opinion.

Next question, who will file the Form I-485? I or my husband? Whose name I will write on Form I-485 part 1 and which box I will select at Part 2. I am between selection "a" or "b".
