Right Guard

A skeptic of dry formulae and bookish response where that nocturnal wraith - the human dream - is concerned. The dream must be drawn out on terms of its own making, then weighed against the logic that lies within the mists the mind of the true, but chained master, the dreamer.  It is then truly the dreamer who holds the answers. The dreamer needs only to be awakened within to know truth by light of day. Hence, 'The Journey' - Puzzling can be a night's wispy tale, So plenteous those claiming to see; Too fleeting can be the guiding spirit, Few master that maze of hours wee; Navigate O' captain a river so dark, Past shoaling snags and current lee; Sound the abyss to make the shore, There at dawn is the dreamer free. - Payne Aiken
