  • Spraying car with base coat/clear coat?

I am painting my holden viva (chev lacetti) with primer, base coat and then clear coat. I have heard different things from people on the proper application of clear coat. Should I allow the final coat of the base colour to dry completely (ie. at least overnight) and then apply clear coat? Or should I allow it to touch dry? Someone said I should leave it for like 10mins and then apply the first coat of the clear to allow it to bond?

    Any help much appreciated :)

  • Year 11 Math Question?

A farmer uses 800 metres of fencing to fence his land. As his land is located alongside a river, he does not need to fence one side. The borders of his land form a rectangle where the side perpendicular to the river has a length of x metres. He cannot farm all of his land inside the fence as a small lake of area 5000m^2 reduces the area available for farming.

    1. Let A m^2 be the area of farmable land inside the fence and x m be the length of the fence at right angles to the river. Show that A= -2x^2+800x-5000. (It might help to draw a diagram first)

    2. Complete the square to express this rule in turning point form

    3. Factorise your answer to 2. and hence solve the equation -2x^2+800x-5000=0 (leave your answer as exact values)

    4. What are the dimensions of the paddock which gives maximum area, and what is that area.

  • Advanced Math question?

    A man walks d km. He walks d/3 at x km/h and 2d/3 at y km/h

    If distance travelled=speed* time,

    1. Find the total time(T) he takes to travel d km, in terms of x, y and d

    2. Find his average speed in terms of x and y. Note: Av. Speed=total distance travelled/total time taken

    3. If x=2/3 *y, find the time taken, T hours, to travel the d km, in terms of x and d

    4. Find x in terms of T and d

    5. Find x, if he travelled for 140 minutes in total and covered 6km

  • Pardise Fish mouth rotting?

HI, 2 weeks ago I noticed that my paradise fish had red around the mouth but he was eating and acting normal. Then he started to be listless so i treated him with a parasite/fungal/bacterial medication and he got a bit better. Now it looks as if his mouth has literally rotted away! He barely eats or swims, he just lies on his side at the bottom of the tank and only swims when he goes up to get air. Even when he does swim, it looks like he really struggles.

I've looked in all my aquarium books, but i haven't been able to find the disease. Please help, this is one of my favourite fish.

  • Fish for a 165 litre aquarium?

Hi, this is my third fish tank I've set up. It's an AquaOne AR850 aquarium that holds 165 litres(sorry I dont know the gallon conversion), and I have had it running for about 12 weeks and the fish stock so far is:

    1 Brislenose plec(fully grown)

    5 black phantom tetras

    10 neon tetras

    2 platys(males)

So, these fish have been going great and im ready to go out and get some more fish. I want to add a group of cories to the tank. I was planning on getting pygmy cories but my LFS dosent stock them anymore so I saw some beautiful corydoras similis there that grow to about 5cm so I've decided to get them.

so, my question is how many should I add if later on I decide to add 2 german rams and maybe more neon tetras or angelfish?

...also my tank has great filtration, weekly 10-20% water changes, pH 6.8, moderately planted with plenty of valls, anubis and cabomba. If anyone suggests other stocking ideas, or different cory species feel free to say them and I'm willing to take out current fish to satisfy the stocking needs
