ok i have an 86 ford f150 e.f.i two wheel drive 1/2 ton 4 speed and it has the 351 engine the problem is that it started back firing through the intake so i replaced the plugs wires cap and rotor then i started the timing chain now i am worried that the cam jumped or the crank jumped i am also worried that it might be something with the distributor how can check that i have not yet replaced the timing cover or anything that goes on there also when i puled the timing cover the timing marks where way off

i have a friend that is disabled and so is his wife they both get ssi the problem is that his wife's sister and her husband live with them but my friend and his wife do almost all of the house work and the only bills that his sister in law pay half of are the electric bill and the cable bill and they only pay half so my friend and his wife pay the rent , trash ,water ,gas as well as buying all of the household items like toilet paper and dish soap and laundry soap and all of that stuff what kind of advice should i give him he has tried to talk to his wife about it but it always leads to a fight where his wife tells him basically accept it or leave he loves his wife and kids very much but can not stand to see his wife being taken advantage of by her sister please give me something to give him as advice
