What is the difference between Trademark Filing Date and Registration Date?
Say "Company A" files a trademark for "Product XYZ" in 2000. Then, "Company B", without knowledge of the trademark filing, produces a product called "Product XYZ" (not the same product but in similar industry) that debuts in 2002.
"Company A" does not have its trademark actually registered for "Product XYZ" until 2010. Is "Company B" actually infringing on the trademark and required to change the name?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics10 years agoWhat is the best IT Help Desk/Issue Tracking software for small businesses?
I manage the IT issues at my small business. It is becoming harder and harder to track the issues. Is there a free web-based software that does the following:
- allows you to log issues with severity and priority, and include attachments and assign to users
- allows you to update statuses with notes and changes
- archives completed issues
These could be any issues, from "Employee X's mouse is not working" to "the server backup is not working".
3 AnswersSmall Business10 years agoWhat is the best way to sell bulk inventory?
We have a huge surplus of lots of items such as stainless steel eating utensils, table cloths, food containers, napkins, etc. What is the best way to liquidate these items? Are there reputable companies that do this? Help is appreciated.
Also, we'd prefer not to have to go through tedious packing and processing procedures that some closeout companies require. Thanks.

I have a new Samsung LED un46c6800 with Samsung Apps. I have a Yamaha AV Receiver (rx-v663) that is connected to the TV via HDMI. All of my peripherals are connect to the Receiver, including Klipsch speakers. Sound works fine on the TV, but when I try to play a YouTube video/Netflix movie/Pandora from the Samsung Apps, the sound from the TV (last channel I was on) continues to play and I hear no sound from the apps. Please help!

I would like it sent to either my igoogle home page or my blackberry. Example: Any news story (or blog) published on the web (and indexed by google) with the keyword "DVD" is then collected and displayed for me to read.

2 AnswersCredit1 decade agoWhich is better: Photoshop Elements or GIMP?
I have been using Photoshop CS2 for the past few years and have gotten quite comfortable with doing the typical image editing stuff. I have a new computer now and I no longer have access to CS2 nor the $$$ to buy the latest Photoshop Suite.
My options are Photoshop Elements (which I can get free) or GIMP. I would like to know which is better for basic to moderate image editing (resize, touch up, etc)?
Please assume that both are free, so price is not a factor.
