My understanding of USA standard home electricity is as follows:

The voltage is apporximately 120 V

The Polarity reverses at 60 Hz

So my question is: Why do standard plugs have different sizes between each plug pin? e.g. Why are plugs designed to fit into the socket one way? It shouldn't matter if the polarity is constantly changing right?

The folder icon on my taskbar (in windows 7) opens up to my libraries by default. Can someone tell me how to change the default location it opens up to?

I am working on a home audio project and need some assistance. I purchased a home with 4 speakers in the ceiling of the living room. I want to use these speakers along with 2 other Yamaha speakers I have for a 7.1 surround sound setup. The in-ceiling speakers are place I have found the receiver I am going to use but I don't have a sub-woofer or Center channel speaker. Can anyone recommend a good sub-woofer & Center channel speaker combo? I have provided a picture of the setup I am trying to create from clarification:

i am looking for a blu ray player that will provide some basic streaming services such as Netflix and Pandora, but I am looking for apple's Airplay support as well. Is there one out there that does this?

I am willing to buy all new receivers/amplifiers/cables and whatever else to get it setup. I would like to do all of these things wirelessly if possible. I am just in need of some advice on how to do so.

Can someone explain how NPT hydraulic fittings connect with tubing? I found and read some information about how an elbow mates with a cross but how does the actual tube mate with the elbow (or cross)?

I am leaning toward benching Desean because he is untested after coming off his injury but I'm not sure.

I give up the number 1 waiver pick(which I am going to use to get Bryce Harper) in a 12 team H2H keeper league for Mark Teixeira. Deeeeep keeper league. I have D.Lee, M. Cuddyer at 1b right now. I don't know. Obviously Teixeira is a stud but is having not the greatest year. I think that Bryce Harper is going to be what sports illustrated called "The Lebron James of baseball" so I don't want to give him up, but is that crazy or should I pull the trigger and get Teixeira?

When new players are added to the cbs sports rosters they ared put on waivers for 3 days and I have the number 1 waiver pick right now.
