I need your help. I’m writing a story (joined a writer’s workshop this summer) and I need to find a medical condition that would keep the character in the Western United States (she lives in the east). The medical condition needs to be able to be faked so that she can go to a doctor and get a medical diagnosis that she can fax to her employer (she is allowed to have unlimited leave if a doctor deems it necessary). It is not the main plot of the story, but I do need something real that I can write in to the plot so that it is believable (only REAL medical conditions please). She wants to stay in the west for a month.
