2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)10 years agoblacksmithing anvil size?
Would a 20kg(44lb) anvil be heavy enough for a hobby blacksmith for making tools like punches chisels knife axe hammers? Obviously work would be slower than with a big anvil but at what point is there too little weight?
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)10 years agoWhy do people die from drinking bad water?
I often see these charities advertising(asking for money) showing children and drinking dirty water and talking about how many of them die from waterbourne bacteria and so on. Why dont they just filter the water through some cloth and boil it? I cant see any reason why this would not be possible for them to improvise. A bit of wood, piece of old clothing old tin can?

1 AnswerOther - Science1 decade agoQuestions about eye adjustment?
I just got glasses for being short sighted, a pretty strong prescription since i left it quite a while before going to my opticians. When i first put them on the woman there shoved a form in front of me to sign and all the writing was very blurred, now iv had them on a day i can use my computer and all that with writing up close. Although when i get close(like a couple of inches) text i can normally see without my glasses is blurred or i get double vision and my eyes hurt, things sort of go in and out of focus randomly and i have to concentrate hard sometimes. Is this sort of thing normal when adjusting to glasses or should i go back and see my optician?
Iv also get some pretty freaky stuff like, things in the sides of my vision get squashed, or sorta move away and sometimes they aren't focused very well especially when they are close. Things randomly look like they are popping out slightly at me. Things in the top or bottom part of my vision bend downwards. Again, just a normal part of adjustment?
Many thanks all

I saw Astonish engine degreaser, would this work as well as specific chain degreaser which is 10x more expensive?
