Cal Millet

If two people gang up on you and run you off the road and attack you with no weapons ...can I shoot them and get self-defense?? This happened six month ago and I left the gun in the car instead and luckily I won the fight with both but they were determined that I was going to die and while me and the first guy were fighting he yelled to the other to use a rag and not touch anything without the rag...later the guy showed up at my friends house demanding his stuff he left there and he was told by all to leave but instead broke into the house and got his stuff and broke a window and pushed the lady of the house off the porch he didn't use his knife though. Well ,cause I had the gun pulled on him and my wife took it from me and later said it would be murder if I shot him in the driveway like I was about to do since he refused to leave ...anybody know if I would've been charged with murder if I used the gun in those situations or if it would've been self-defense????
