  • What kind if birth control did u use after having ur baby?

When I called to make my 6 weeks checkup, they asked if I wanted an iud put in at that appt. I realized how limited we were in birth control bc I was breastfeeding. After talking it over with the hubby, we think iud isn't the best option. We definitely don't want to wait 5 yrs for another baby. (best thought is about a yr b4 we try again). Condoms by themselves are what got Zoe here in the first place... So were not keen on that either. So we aren't sure what else our options are bc of the breastfeeding.

I guess I'm wondering what did u use after having a baby? Were u breastfeeding. Were u happy with that form? Did u consider anything else? Did u have another baby after that? How long did it take u to get pregnant after u started trying again? Did u have any problems with it? Thanks ladies... I was on patch as teen (to regulate) and depo after the patch problems. Was off it for almost 2 yrs before we got pregnant with Zoe. And since those harsh bcs are not an option I'm kinda lost. I never paid any attn to anything else because mine worked. I'm in desperate need of advice.

  • How long did it take to get the feeling back in ur stomach?

It's been 2 weeks and my stomach is still numb. I had a c section on the 19th. Is it different if u give birth vaginally? Zoe is doing great for all those following our saga lol. (nicu stay ... 7 weeks early for those that aren't)

  • Medicaid question for newborn?

We applied for Medicaid for Zoe and I don't think we'll have a problem getting it. My question is how do we find a doctor for her once she has it. She's in the nicu right now so she's being taken care of. But has to have a doctor before she leaves the nicu. (in a little over 3 weeks probably) I have no idea how to do that and since I haven't been approved yet I can't find any info on it. Does anyone have it and remember how they went about finding a doc?

  • Sex after c section, have I lost my mind?

Ok I no, no sex for 6 weeks that's not my ?. I had an emergency c section on the 19th (7 weeks early). Zoe is currently n the nicu doing great. With no health problems, just small at 3lbs 10oz. So unfortunately she's not home with us but will b in about 3 weeks. The thing is 8 days ago I had a baby, I'm sore, and tired, and stressed from being away from my daughter. But since yesterday I've wanted to do nothing but jump into bed. I'm not gonna but I kinda feel like a bit of freak for wanting 8 days after surgery. Does that make me completely insane?

  • Nicu mommies how do u deal?

Hi mommies, I had a totally normal pregnancy with no worries at all until wed morning. Had to have an emergency c section at 33 weeks. She's actually really healthy but ofcourse being premature is staying in nicu for awhile. Rationally I no that she needs to b there and I want her to b there getting healthy. But I have to go home tomorrow without her. Emotionally in a wreck and don't really no how to begin to deal. How did u deal with going home without ur child, even short term? Hubby just doesn't understand that rationally I no the fact but my emotions are on another planet and could care less what is rational.

  • Baby girl is here at 33 weeks!?

Ok just so you guys know, I was 33 weeks on Tuesday. Last night I woke up in severe pain and was having serious problems breathing. They concluded that I was dealing with pre-eclampsia. So at 6:37am by csection our daughter was delivered. By the grace of god, she is breathing on her own and is not experiencing any big issues that normal premie babies do. She will ne in the nicu for about 4-6 weeks. My doctor did not believe that a hospital visit was necessary for shortness of breath and normal pain. But told us to come in anyway if we wanted.... I'm glad I ignored her. God has truely blessed me this past 3 weeks.... I totalled my car on the 29th and we were both completely fine. And today my beautiful daughter was brought into the world early but in the best possible situation for a premie. I am truely blessed and I will never stop thanking god for protecting my little girl. To all of those who are going thru things, god bless u for ur strength and courage. I'm about to crumble and she's ok. You are all in my prayers. God bless

  • Sex during pregnancy?

For those of you that are still fairly sexually active with ur partner... I'm jealous. So plz don't tell me it hasn't changed for u. I no it's not uncommon for pregnant ladies to feel not as attractive, but what about ur partner not wanting it? I don't feel unattractive or depressed. But it's kinda messing with my head that he's totally uninterested in sex now. Here's my ?..... How do u deal with ur partner being uninterested.... On an emotional level... I no how to deal on physical level.

  • Am I overreacting about my husband?

Ok I no that I'm more emotional than usual because I'm pregnant. However, I wrecked my car on my way to work wed morning. So I've even more emotional than I have been. I spent all day wed in the hospital(we are both just fine thank god!) but I work an hour away from my house. Actually in the same town as my mom lives. So Thursday and Friday I stayed with my mom so I could go to work. Well my car is totalled. I'm spending the weekend with my husband and I missed him like crazy Thursday and Friday. I just cried bc I missed him when I was trying to sleep without him next to me. I'm leaving Sunday afternoon to go back to my moms for work all week, I won't see him again until next Friday. And he doesn't seem to want to see me. He's out of work(hence me having to go right back to work without resting) so he spends all day at home and doesn't ever get out. (that's his reason for wanting to go out) I understand that but I'm only home for 2 days and had to pitch a fit so he wouldn't go out last night. He's out tonight with his friends. Am I overreacting cause I'm hurt he can't spend the only two days he has with me? I'm gone all week and he can't see them then? It has to be tonight?

  • Newborn diapers question?

I was reading this book and it suggested starting to buy a pack of diapers a week while pregnant and I really love this idea. But it said not to waste money on more than two packs of newborn diapers bc babies grow so fast... Is that really true? Seems like u would b thru those n a week. Mommies any guesses how long it was before u changed size?

  • At what week do u start going to the doctor every week?

I'm 30 weeks today and just started going every 2 weeks. I go to a big office that I like and like the doctors for the most part. but I guess bc it's just normal check ups for now. I've felt a little rushed and in the dark about somethings when I have them. they (there are 6 rotating docs so u don't get someone in delivery u don't no) always seem alittle impatient if I have too many ?s. So they don't tell me this sorta thing till it's time to start going that often.

  • Need help from moms about breast pumps?

I'm 29 weeks pregnant and will be spending 3 months at home then going back to work. I've begun swimming around in the vast confusing pool of info on breast pumps. Do any mothers have advice, insights or a fav breast pump that they fell in love with? I'm ready for all the other stuff but I'll admit that breast feeding is the topic I'm nervous about. I feel completely in the dark.
