  • Firefox not starting?

When I open Firefox I get the loading icon for 4-5 seconds then it disappears and doesn't start up. Checking my processes, it shows Firefox as running. I'll "end task" then try again, nothing. Tried running in Safe Mode and administrator, and nothing. Tried changing profiles in run, nothing. All my google searches have turned up nothing helpful. Any ideas? Recently installed some windows updates, but the problem actually occurred before I restarted to actually install the updates.

Any ideas on how to fix my problem?

  • SCP Server keeps disconnecting?

When I went to play a game last night, all of a sudden my PS3 controller couldn't stay connected. I'm using SCP Server and its been working great for awhile now, but last night whenever I didn't hold it in a very specific way, which was parallel to my body instead of to the ground, it would continually disconnect/reconnect and my character would take a step or 2 then stop, another step and stop, another and stop. I had been playing without any issue just a couple hours earlier. Didn't change or disable anything or restart my PC. Anyone have any idea what could be my issue? Thought maybe my DS3 needed to charge, but its constantly connected via USB so should be fully charged.

  • JRE 7 and JRE 8, do I need both?

I've got Java Runtime Environment 7 and 8 both installed. I get daily update notifications through my anti-virus for JRE 7, but it never completes when I try to update. Do I need both or can I just uninstall JRE 7?

  • Xbox 360 Extender drops network connection?

I recently hooked up a HDHomerun Prime to my network in an effort to drop my cable boxes. I set up my Xbox 360 to watch live and recorded TV. Live TV seems to work fine, but the Xbox keeps disconnecting from the network after about 10 minutes of viewing recorded TV. It's on a wired connection and I can't seem to figure out the problem. Any ideas?

  • PA Inheritance Tax Help?

My grandma passed a few months ago. I've done some research and found that the inheritance tax in PA is 4.5% with a $3500 family exemption. Does this mean that if her house sold for $200k that the inheritance tax would be $9000, but $3500 is exempt making it $5500?

  • How to connect two curtains?

I just bought a pair of blackout thermal curtains for my living room to enhance TV viewing. They do their job great, but there is a small gap on the curtain rod where the middle mounting bracket is. Is there some kind of clip to attach them to each other and eliminate that gap? I know they could just be sewn together, but I don't know the first thing about sewing so that isn't really an option. Any ideas?

  • Sata Data Cable Splitter 4-1?

    I just bought this:

    http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Power-Splitter-...

Is there something similar to that for the data cables? I've currently got 5 HDD stacked in my mid-size case and plan add 4 more. Would be great not having a ton of cables all over the place.

  • Graphics Card w/ 3 Displays?

I'm looking for find a graphics card that can display 3 monitors simultaneously. My current card (GV-R435OC-512I) has VGA, DVI and HDMI but can only display 2 at a time. I'm hoping to find a card with the same port setup, but really any decent budget card that can display 3 monitors at the same time would be fine. Just needs to have an HDMI port.

  • PS3 HDMI & Component?

Is it possible to hook my PS3 with HDMI to my plasma HDTV and at the same time hook it up to my old CRT HDTV with component cables? I don't want to use them at the same time. I just want to be able to play my downloaded games on my old TV so they don't look so bad and not have to keep changing cables to do so.

  • Is 13 an appropriate age to read T.H. White's King Arthur books?

My nephew is 13 and loves to read fantasy books, particularly Rick Riordan, John Flanagan and other young adult fantasy writers. I've never read T.H. White so I don't know if its age appropriate. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Upgrading to Windows 7 from XP?

I'm finally going to upgrade from XP to 7 and I was planning to get the upgrade software instead of the full version. I currently run the XP upgrade and when first installing I needed to show I owned a previous windows version. I used '98 I think. I've read upgrading from '98 to 7 can't be done. But since I don't actually run '98, would the upgrade work?

  • How to remove a small stripped hex screw?

I'm modifying my PS2 Network Adapter to fit my Western Digital HDD. There are 4 hex screws I need to get out and 1 is stripped. Its small, really small. I used a Kobalt T7 bit to get out the other 3 without issue. I don't have a screw extractor bit small enough to get it out either. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Lord of the Rings Reading Level?

I was thinking about getting my 12 year old nephew The Hobbit and LOTR books. I no longer have my copies so I can't give them a glance to see if they'd be too old for him. What is a good age/reading level for those books? He's 12 and in the 6th grade and a slightly above average reader. He loved the movies, but when I told him there was a bunch of stuff left out even from the extended versions he was very curious. So instead of telling him I told him to read the books.

  • How to connect 2 TVs to 1 A/V Receiver?

I've got my home theater set-up complete:

    50" Plasma

    Sony STR-DH700

    FIOS HD (HDMI)

    PS3 (HDMI)

    PC (HDMI)

I've got an older CRT HDTV that I want to add to the set-up to play some of my older games on PS2 and SNES that look awful on flat panel screens and can cause burn in on a Plasma TV. To hook up the older stuff can I use the Component or Composite inputs/outputs for those and then have 2 TVs hooked up or do I need to do something else? I don't want to go moving stuff from different rooms, especially a 150 lbs. TV, then have to move it all back because it didn't work the way I wanted it to. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • PS3 remote works, but doesn't.?

My PS3 randomly turned on this afternoon. Then within minutes a message came on with two options:

    "Turn off console"

    "Turn of controller"

I just pressed circle to cancel and then the controller didn't work. So I manually turned off the console. Then when I tried turning it back on with the remote it didn't work. Thinking maybe the battery needed to be charged I hooked it up to the computer with the USB for an hour. The controller then turned on the console. But within seconds the batter power lights turn off. Is my battery dead? Can I buy a replacement or do I need a new controller? Any help appreciated.
