  • I need another perspective on this; My son is two years old and acting out at daycare, and I don't know what is causing it.?

Up until about 3 weeks ago my son seemed to love his daycare center or "School" as he calls it, he was always well behaved, but in the last three weeks, all of that has changed. Supposedly my son is hitting other kids, constantly throwing a fit, screaming, throwing things, won't take a nap, wakes the other kids up during a nap, etc, supposedly this lasts all day.

I'm not saying my son doesn't ever throw a fit at home, he's a kid, what kid doesn't. He isn't perfect but normally, at home, he is very well behaved. We have very minimal issues with him going down for a nap, he normally does the things we ask him to, he is very communicative when something is bothering him, and he has NEVER hit another child, in the previous daycares he was in or outside of daycare. He's always been, to my amazement, very selfless. A while back at this daycare one of the kids bit him in the arm, another hit him in the eye because they wanted a toy, and when I was walking in to pick him up one day a boy hit him in the head. Recently he's come home with 'marks' on him, on his eye (looked like someone hit him), ribs (which looked like a large pinch mark), and on his knee (maybe he fell? Maybe someone pushed him down?) The teachers seem to be completely oblivious to the marks. They tried a 'reward' system for him but when I listen to them it seems all negative "you didn't do this, so you can't have that" instead of putting a positive spin on it "if you do this, you'll get that"

  • Exercise Routines, Motivation, Building Muscle, & Getting Fit?

What I want to accomplish: I want to build muscle and ultimately tone my entire body. I want to look and feel fit.

The Problem: I have a real problem staying motivated and sticking with exercising.

What I’ve Tried: I’ve tried a daily Push Up and Sit Up routine, Taebo, and most recently P90X.

The Results: Other than the fact I continue to find it difficult to stick with anything, there is none.

I am Male, I am 5’7”, I weigh about 162 lbs, I wouldn’t by any stretch of the imagination say I’m fit, I’m not even sure I’d call myself healthy. I’m also definitely not overweight, although when I look at myself I feel it. It’s easy to tell myself “you have to do this” and want to do it, it’s another to actually follow through with exercise routines. P90X, I think provides a really good work out and believe me, I feel it, the issue is making it through a 60 minute video and then feeling like I have to take a week to recover. My wife and I like to jog and have recently started doing so, however, with a 1 year old child, we can only do so weather permitting.

When it comes to actually creating an exercise routine that works for me, I don’t know where I should begin, what I should be doing, or how to necessarily do it properly. I’m not real sure what type of ‘diet’ I should be on, how many calories, etc, if there is affordable supplements I can take that can help or anything like that.

I also struggle with energy as a whole, I don’t sleep well, which only adds to my lack of motivation to exercise or even eat breakfast regularly. I know, honestly, one of the biggest issues is that no matter what I do, I don’t see results, it’s hard to wrap your head around the fact it takes time and patience is one thing I’ve yet to learn to provide myself.

Any advice, help, etc would be greatly appreciated

  • I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping?

I'm basically always tired probably because I hqve so much trouble sleeping through the night. I can't say I am that active but also I don't have that mucu stress. On average I wake up at least 3-4 times in an 8 hour span. I don't stay up that late, 8:30-9:00 at the latest usually and I get up at 5:00 am for work. I have a desk job. Its reall hard for ke to find the motivation to be active because of how exhausted I am from my lack of sleep...any suggestions?

  • How to get over a fear of heights?

I have a serious fear of heights, I can't ride on most amusement park rides such as roller coasters or even the flying ship(or whatever your park calls them). When it comes to Amusement Park Rides not only can I not get passed the height but that 'falling sensation' you get well you when the coaster goes down hill, is really even worse than the fear of heights itself. The height of the ramp for the Upper Level at Heinz Field is even bothersome. There is all kinds of stuff my wife would like to do..but my fear of heights prevents her from even asking...is there a way for someone in my situation to begin to conquer this fear?

  • Need some grilling help.?

First if all I own a Char-Griller Outlaw Charcoal Grill & Smoker. Im not very experienced with grilling, didn't really have that 'protypical teacher' for things such as grilling, car work, etc. So first I was wondering if anyone could provide advice on good cook books for beginners. Yes Im aware most people probably dont use cookbooks for grilling but..gotta start somewhere right? Secondly the manual says to coat the grill in cookingoil oil after cleaning it. I assume I am doing something wrong as there seems to be spots that still rust. Any advice in regards to after grill cleaning?

    Thank you

  • I need some advice from a woman?

My wife is dieting and trying to lose about 30 pounds. I genuinely see her as a beautiful woman now and I want her to be dieting for her not for me. I want her to be happy with herself. I am about 150 lbs. and 5'7". I can't gain weight no matter how much I eat.

So getting to my point my wife really gets down on herself and finds it hard to be motivated because I'm already fit and honestly I try to help her by making healthier meals, going for walks, things like that but I don't know what else to do to be supportive. I need advice. How do I help her stay motivated and upbeat?

  • Sentimental Christmas Ideas for the Wife?

So, her aunt is buying her a locket to put a picture of our newborn child in it. I've already bought her another piece of jewelry, I already bought her a 'mommy & I frame' a while back, prior to our child's birth, in addition to that I bought her a few things that I know will make her happy (but they're not remotely sentimental).

I have no clue what to buy here within a budget, that will truly mean something to her. I guess what I'm looking for is ideas that might lead me to a gift that would really hit the heart with her.

  • I need a wedding officiant on very short notice in Williamsport, PA and I'm having trouble finding one.?

I've tried google searches and i've attempted looking on TheKnot.com and localweddingplanning.com and other similar sites, but I've had no real success in finding someone to marry my fiance and I. Our wedding is on June 25, 2011. I've contacted a couple of churches however both have our wedding dates of choice already reserved and most of the local judges require ceremony conduction within their office. We're planning an outside wedding at a beautiful local venue, but we're having a lot of trouble finding an officiant. I don't really know where to turn, where else to look, or how to approach finding an officiant with barely 3 months before our wedding.

  • I'm a 29 year old male, 5'7", 135 lbs. How do I gain weight and muscle while staying healthy?

I don't have much time to get to a gym and I don't own weights, that really limits what I can do, but it is getting warmer outside and I do live next to trails so I'll be able to go walking and/or jogging. I have tried push ups and sit ups (I need to get into a regular routine with it though). Like I said, I'm 29 years old and I only weight 135 lbs. I try to eat regularly but perhaps I'm not eating the right kinds of food. 135 pounds doesn't seem very healthy to me for someone who's 29 years old, even if I am only 5'7".

So any advice on what to do is appreciated. I need advice on my diet, what I can do as far as excerise routines, etc. ANYTHING that you think might help.

  • What flowers would fit into our wedding color scheme?

My fiance & I are planning a September 2012 wedding and our colors are Blue & Silver (royal blue). I have very little knowledge of flowers per season and color scheming, etc. So I guess what I'm looking for is knowledge on what flowers fit the 'blue scheme' and more importantly what flowers are best for the month of September or at least that time of the year. Please feel free to reply with advice or opinions that don't necessarily include the color blue but that you think could help me in trying to help my fiance plan our wedding. The most important issue here is that I'm trying to do some research so that my fiance doesn't have to do all the planning, i want to feel involved :)

  • I need help/advice with repaying medical bills that are hurting my credit?!?

I'm 29, I've had to go to the doctors, and more importantly the ER multiple times and I'm always turned away when they say "you can apply for medical assistance." No matter how many times I try, I'm always rejected. So I'm left with having to pay back a ton of medical bills. In total I probably have somewhere close to 10k in medical bills and I barely have enough to pay my regular bills so even the minimum payments on medical bills are hard to come by. Where do I turn? Is there anything I can do to get help?

I have a steady job, it just doesn't pay enough to add medical bills or medical insurance to my already long list of bills.

  • I'm trying to Gain weight and I want to do it in a healthy way but I don't really know how..?

Okay, I guess maybe it's weird to hear someone say that they want to gain weight but I am 5'7", 136 lbs, I am 29 years old and I am so skinny that you can see the outline of my ribs. I hate it but I've always been this skinny. People always tell me "oh you should be grateful to have that problem" but I'm not. I work 8 hrs a day just like anyone else, at a very physical job so it's hard for me to find the time to exercise. But I don't really know where to start in my quest to take my weight up to about 150-175 and do it while remaining healthy. I try to eat healthy but perhaps I'm eating the wrong kinds of foods. Mostly i eat a lot of 'grease food' i'm sure that doesn't help.

But I do eat A LOT and i don't gain any weight. Any weight i do gain, is lost after a day or two at work.

What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do to reach my goals and counteract my high metabolism?
