  • How to not be tired throughout the day without any caffeine?

Im a first year uni student and i recently had a schedule change which eliminated my daily nap time. My schedule for most days:

    5:30am wake up

    6:30 - 9:am sports workout (soccer)

10am - 3pm part time job in restaurant

    3:30pm -4:30pm gym workout

I normally take a nap from anywhere around 12-4 however even if i do take a nap but 4 all of the tiring work would've already been completed which is the whole point of the nap!!!

Im also trying to go to sleep earlier like from 9:30pm -10:30pm. But are there any other ways for me to feel energetic through the day?? I refuse to take caffeine because it upsets my stomach and also i don't want to end up relying on it as most people do.

  • What are some job choices for my situation?

Im an 18 yrs old first year uni student and have been working at a restaurant for the past month however the pay is terrible this particular restaurant is quite mess in terms of management. But the main reason is because it is too tiring. I normally work during the day and go to classes at night. But i go to a sports uni so now season has started again, now I have team practices and individual workouts at 6am in the morning as well as gym sessions and weekly tournament games. Im afraid adding these all together is just too tiring, because working in a restaurant you're on your feet all day. So I was just wondering if there were any other jobs which may not need as much labour work with my limited experience.

    P.S.

    I work 5 hours/4days a week.

I have worked as a waiter and a referee along with a few volunteering gigs.

  • Lingering Injury Please Help?

Ok so I rolled my ankle playing basketball during January this year. It turned out that i had torn 2 out of the 3 ligaments in my right ankle. So i stopped playing basketball for a few weeks then resumed. The pain was still there but i kind of just sucked it up and played. As i played the pain decreased bit by bit until one day out of nowhere when I got out of bed my ankle had the pain radiating again. And so it turns out that my ankle had an even larger tear in the 2 ligaments. So now i rested for 4 weeks before playing basketball again. My physio told me it was ok for me to play but it still hurt. And it hurt not just where the tear is but other areas of my ankle aswell. It has been almost a year since this injury and everytime i play basketball the pain is still there. Please can someone offer any advice? I now think that my physio is trash because he gave me the green light to play basketball even though it probably hadnt healed cus it hurt. But he said it hurts because my ankle has stiffen up after weeks of rest. But I think my ankle hadnt fully healed and thus later on it started hurting again. Now the pain is always there. I ve tried physio, acupuncture, herbal medicine and it still hurts. It doesnt just hurt where the tear is, it hurts on the opposite side of my ankle aswell. I ve tried everything and I am really getting fustrated because basketball is a huge part of my life. Anyone suggestions or explanations for this pain and/or how to fix it

  • How many shots would it take to get used to a new shooting form?

Ok so i changed my shooting form but not completely, the stroke is exactly the same and the release is the same. Only difference is i changed my off hand and the timing of my jump shot so that i release the ball near the apex of the jump where as before i would begin right after my feet left the ground. So far I have shot around 200 shots with this new form. How many shots SHOULD it take for it to be consistent and feel natural?

  • IS THIS ILLEGAL?

So im a highschool student who often visits my old primary school as they have an outdoor basketball court. The school ends at 3:00pm however the gates are open until 6:00pm due to some independent after school care business. During 4pm to 5:30pm I'd take my ball and walk through the gates and play basketball for a good hour or so. Today this random man approaches me and argues that i am not allowed here. I stated that i have been coming here for many years and teachers and other employees that i walk past have not said anything to me about this. After a good 10minute debate he finally gives up and says that he will look into this and asks for my name. Obviously i give a fake name. But is this illegal?

Update: P.S this is in australia

Update 2: He claimed to be the G.A. of the school. And please be more specific in your answers because next time if i am right i will confront him. Thanks for the response guys

  • How to speed up recovery for a ligament tear?

I sprained my ankle while playing basketball, and got it checked out, turns out to be a small tear in one of my ligaments in my ankle. Doctor says that it should take 4 weeks to heal up, 2 weeks have passed now, and my foot has been feeling better but in the past few days it has started to feel more painful. I have a school comp game in exactly 2 weeks, is there a way to speed up the recovery process? Swelling has gone down however there is still some pain. Or is the only way is to let time heal??
