  • Electric guitar making crackling noises?

    I have an Ashton AGL-65 guitar and a Fender Frontman 10G amplifier. I usually play my guitar unplugged but when I went to plug it in today I noticed a harsh "buzzing" noise coming from the amp. I first thought it would be the cable so I switched it for another one, and even tried a friends; but to no avail.

    I have noticed two things: Firstly, when I mute all the strings with my hand the noise gets quieter in volume, however it does not go away completely. Secondly when I turn the tone knob to zero the noise ceases all together.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    I have recently installed 64-Bit Windows 7 on my HP laptop, I have been customizing it with programs like Rocket Dock and Switcher, and now I'm looking for a software that can interperit multi-touch mouse gestures, and use them to launch programs and other stuff. Any idea where I could find something like this.

    I am looking to install Windows XP on my laptop as a dual-boot, I have made a new HD partition, and I have a Windows XP .exe step-up file and a product key - Wich I bought off the Microsoft website- The sep up runs ok but the actual 'Install Windows XP' button is not availible.

    What do I do?
