  • Shipping breastmilk?

    I'm going to be traveling out of state with my newborn for a week. While we're away, I must pump breastmilk to save as my husband and I will leave her with my parents for two days. Has anyone had to pump and ship their milk before? I'm looking for suggestions on how to do this. I will be in North Dakota and need to get my milk (unscathed) to Michigan. I can't carry it on the plane with me (new rules) and don't want to check it because of the lack of temperature control.

  • What should we get for our doula?

    I just gave birth on 6-16 and had a wonderful experience due, in part, to an amazing doula.

    I am looking for suggestions on what to get her as a gift of appreciation. She and her husband have two young children and one on the way (so a nice bottle of wine is out). She's a vegetarian and kind of hippie-like.

    Ideas?
