The guy I have been dating for 2 months just said he wants to be friends. He said he need to get his life together, he isn't happy with where his life is right now and wants to concentrate on improving it. and continues to call me, I really like him and am not sure if I should tell him to hit the road and move on, or stay friends. I consider him a good friend, but am worried about getting myself hurt. FYI, he is not playing me for sex because we decided to wait and not have sex. Not ME, WE.

I have been dating this man for almost 2 months. We get along. I am sure he likes me, and I like him. We are waiting for sex, and that is a mutual decision. He has not met my kids (2 girls) and I want to keep it that way a little longer, because I don't bring men around my children until we are in a definite relationship, so as not to have men popping in and out of their lives, but I hang out with my family a lot, and whenever I invite him to be around anyone but just me, he declines. Could it be that that is too soon for him, or could it be something else? For me meeting my family isn't a big deal. We are close knit and do so much together it is usually impossible to date without them meeting the guy anyway. And is not some big formal event, I may just be going to hang at the bowling alley where my uncles bowl in a league.
