  • Dresscode for wedding. opinions sought.?

    2 friends are having a midweek wedding on a canal boat next week with an evening reception. Dress code says ' night at the theatre / opera / ballet' . The guests are quite an alternative and mixed bunch.

    Spoken to the bride and groom and been told ' wear whatever you want darling'

    Would you choose:

    1) Cocktail dress

    2) Full length evening dress

    3) Tuxedo

    4) Morning suit

    5) Smart suit, shirt and tie.

    6) Smart blouse and trousers.

    What is most appropriate in your opinion? Do i go to town and dig out the big posh frock?
