i was looking into getting rosetta stone for my son and I to learn Spanish (latin american)

Have any of you heard good things about it. Is it a computer program or a DVD thing, is it kid friendly (my son is 4 but he has already picked up some words)

Is it worth as much as it costs?

Alright so I have a 3y/o boy, I would really like him to have a dog esp since he is an only child and its staying that way. I can afford it and can look after it except for the fact that i work four 9s. I work Mon- Thurs and then the following week Tues -- Fri. So i have a two day weekend and then a four day weekend. And we also have a one bedroom for the time being (leases). My problem is I feel it is selfish to get a dog if im going to be gone so much. So basically I would like to ask:

Do you have a dog and are gone a lot and it works out fine...
