  • Should soda be banned on school campuses?

I found out yesterday that at my child's public school, not only is the sale of on campus prohibited, but parents are not even permitted to send soda (even caffeine-free) in their child's lunchbox. However, things like Capri Sun, pudding, snack cakes, and chips are allowed. Do you think it is right for schools to control what parents send for their child's lunch? What is your opinion on the fact that, while soda is banned, other unhealthy items such as those listed above are still allowed?

  • How Are The Planned Parenthood Videos "Highly Edited"?

As you know, Planned Parenthood has come under fire for allegedly selling fetal parts for profit because of the videos that the Center For Medical Progess released. The president of Planned Parenthood, as well as other people have claimed that those videos are either fake or highly edited. I have not found any information explaining how, or in what way the videos were supposedly edited. Can someone explain what exactly was edited out or point me in the direction of an article that explains it? Thanks.

  • What should I do with a "Shark In A Jar"?

My son got one of those dead sharks preserved in liquid that they sell in souvenir shops for his birthday. As a vegetarian, and a person whose pet just died, I have no desire to display this creature's body in my house. I am wondering what the most respectful thing to do with this shark is. I am thinking of busting the jar and burying it, but I am wondering if anyone has any other ideas. Thanks.
