I've owned 4 snakes including 2 constrictors, and currently only have a ball and a king snake. I want a constrictor that is larger than a ball but not unmanageable, and would like a nice color and pattern. I'm leaning towards the carpet pythons at this point, but am wondering what you all think??

I have a baby king snake and a juvenile ball python. Could I house them together? They require about the same type of habitat. Yes, I realize that king snakes eat other snakes. My king snake will always be smaller than my ball so I'm not worried about that. But as far as behavior, etc, would it be a bad idea? Serious and educated answers only, please. Thanks! :)

For a Christmas gift, I'd like to give my 18" ball python a special treat: something other than the adult mice (roughly 2-3" long)she's been eating. Would it be ok to give her a gerbil or hamster?
