I sent in $20 to start payments on what I owe to a collection agency for doctor bills. They sent me the check back today telling me that they need at least $25.00- I have heard that if any collection agency doesn't accept your payment (no matter what the amount) than you can get out of paying them- does anyone know if that is true?

Okay I want to go in tomorrow and have my hair cut off short to medium. I have very long hair- but I also have 2 toddlers that drive me nuts. I have an oval shaped face, but my nose is a little big (not huge or anything) that makes me feel uncomfortable maybe going short. I am 5"4 though and feel this hair is dragging me down. Plus it is so thick. I am afraid that if I got too short it may be really bobbed out -sticking out. I use a straightening iron to make it appear normal though- should I got with medium like between my chin and shoulders? I hope someone can help. Thanks!

My husband filed for bankruptcy before getting married. I do not know anything about this. He has been paying close to $400 every 2 weeks on it for 4 years now. We are looking at buying a vehicle and spoke to a man that ask if it had been discharged. I told him no--this year- but he had been paying on it and told him how much. He said that qualified for being discharged. My husband said the man apparently does not know what he is talking about. Could this be true?

First of all I would like to say I was stupid for doing this for her in the first place ..but...

Last Christmas I got my daughter her own cell phone through Alltel-explained the terms etc. She did really well with it until October in which she did not put one of her friends in "Her Circle." Now by this time I had gotten another phone for me to use also- so we had two contracts. I got the bill in November and hers alone was over $450.00. Of course I couldn't pay all of this so I had to terminate the contracts which now has be owing over $800.00.

I am wondering what would be a good punishment for her because she cannot pay this back and I will have to do it of course since I am her mother. I already told her today since I have to make her help me around the house ( I have a 4 and 2 year old also) and I work at home for a company--to had over her Ipod and Computer. If she helps me then she will get one hour a day on each. What could be the punishment for the bill though?

I took my 15 lb turkey out of the freezer last night and put it on top of counter to thaw. It is 1pm now and it has been out about 16 hours. I tried to look up to see how long it would take---and instead finding just info on refrigerator thawing and bacteria collecting even in refrigerator thawing--did I completely screw this up? I don't cook as you can tell. :)

I am a 35 year old female with 3 chidren..is this something to really worry about? How soon do you have to have surgery for this?

During the night and early morning my chest muscles hurt, it hurts with fast movements to- any ideas? Heart? I have Mitral Valve Prolapse (not bad) but I am 35 - good health- but lifting a 3 year old and 18 month old- both are around 30 lbs- This has been happening over last 2 weeks..can muscles hurt that long? I have received a BS in Psychology from UVA-Wise and currently in a masters in counseling program. I have 3 children (2 very little) and cannot travel to the residencies like I intended to. I have looked at getting an accounting degree-I have signed up for classes for a masters in which I have to take a few prerequisites of course. How hard is an accounting degree? I am scared I will not be able to do it. I am not terrific in math of course, but feel since I do have one degree I could do what I put my mind to. How much on average does an accountant make?
