  • Medical Claims question..?

I was the primary subscriber on a medical group plan with my children & Ex-wife as dependents for the calendar year of 2010. Ex-Wife is no longer on my group plan as of 12/31/10

During the 2010 she went to the ER 3 times, each visit costing $50 co-pay.

(she drove herself to and from the ER on all 3 visits; they were not life threatening)

She never paid the copays and just asked to bill her.

*** Question ***: Is she legally responsible to pay those copays or i'm i stuck with the bill since i'm the primary subscriber to the plan

  • Recently divorced and Ex wants to claim both kids on the taxes, how can I prevent this?

Recently divorced and Ex wants to claim both kids on the taxes, how can I prevent this?

We have always filed taxes separately, (we got more money this way) but we are now divorced. She is withholding the children SS# from to prevent me from filing.

We separated early last year, and she never gave me my portion of the taxes as she has in past years.

What do I do? Report her to the IRS? If so how do I do that?

    Or any other suggestions?
