  • How can I ask this guy out?

Pretty lame asking for help in asking a guy to hang out, huh? But I seriously cannot stop thinking about him. I'm in the same club as he is at the university I go to and unfortunately the club only meets every 2 weeks. First time I met him was 2 weeks ago when I went to the first club meeting and sort of had that "I kinda like him" feeling but then forgot about him...until yesterday when I helped out with the club booth at a university event before the home football opening game. I spent all morning with him just talking and now I can't get him off my mind. This hasn't happened in a really long time and I don't want to mess things up.

So this is the beginning of my dilemma... He is 22, I'm 20...I just so happen to live above a pretty good bar and I can't drink. =/ Figures, right? So my question to you guys is this: how can I ask him to hang out without...going out for a drink? The things I know about him right now are that he enjoys sports (namely football and baseball...which is a good thing because I'm a huge baseball fan) and he's a car person too (duh, XD) which is also really good because we both love to watch a TV show called Top Gear. There's an episode of Top Gear I want to show him, but it sounds so...creepy...to just ask him "Hey, wanna come over to my place and watch this episode of Top Gear where it'll only be you and me?" =/

  • Cause-and-effect essay topics?

I am taking a college English Composition I class, and the next paper that is due has to be a cause-and-effect paper. I'm struggling to find topics that I find interesting and topics I know well. My instructor has not assigned any of her students topics, nor has she elaborated much on writing a cause-and-effect paper, which makes my job that much harder. Does anyone have suggestions on topics? I already googled it, and I wasn't satisfied with the results, so I'm coming here.

  • Bipolar disorder..need help with someone who is?

My boyfriend is bipolar, and just recently my mom has talked to me about his being bipolar. She has urged me to research it, and I think I can understand it as far as I can with research on the internet. Now I'm just looking for websites that help people who have next to zero experience with the disorder, and understanding how to treat someone who is bipolar. Does anyone know any website like that?

If no one does know a website like that, can anyone with bipolar help me understand what I need to do? I'm going into this completely open-minded, I'm going to be as understanding and patient as I can with my boyfriend. I realize this is serious, but at the same time I don't want to let my over-consciousness of his disorder overshadow the special thing we have.

    Thanks

  • Getting a halter on my filly.?

Okay, well, my filly is almost three and she hasn't been worked with a lot. On top of that, she has managed to rub the halter I had on her...off. She is very touchy about being near the halter, but I have devised a plan on how to get the halter back on.

I've figured out that every time I feed her grain, I can lay the noseband of the halter over the bucket full of grain and when she sticks her nose into the bucket, she'll therefore stick her nose through the halter.

My only dilemma is that when I attempt to pull the halter over the back of her head and buckle it, she pulls back, throws her head in the air, and makes her quick getaway. She'll come back to the bucket every time she's done chewing that bite of grain, but that's what she does every time.

Any suggestions on how to restrain her so she doesn't do this without hurting her either? I'm such a noob when it comes to training horses, so I'm really surprised I even came up with this plan.

    Thanks for your help!

  • My horse just passed away.?

She was 25 years old, and she was my very first horse. I've had her for three years (since October 2005), and just last night we had to put her down.

How do I ease the grieving process? I have one other horse, a two-and-a-half year old filly, who's also taking it really hard. I've tried to be strong and remember the good times, but I still can't help but fall apart and cry. How can I ease the pain? And how can I comfort my filly more?

  • Could this be tonsillitis?

    I seem to have all the symptoms >_<;; Or at least quite a few of them. I had a really horrible sore throat last night, and this morning when I woke up it was very difficult to swallow. It felt like my throat was swollen. I've had a near constant headache, and last night I had really bad shivers. This morning I woke up with a fever too >_<;

Just curious. I think I'm just being over paranoid, but I just want to make sure.

  • Do I have symptoms of ADHD?

I've done a little research about it, but I'm still not quite sure. I know I have a very severe difficulty paying attention to much of anything except my boyfriend and a few other friends of mine. When it comes to my homework, ANYTHING will catch my attention and I'll end up staying up half the night to get it all done. I also get in trouble all the time for forgetting to do my chores or taking care of the pets. I may not be incredibly hyperactive, but I can't sit still very well either >_<; I know these may be symptoms of ADHD. How can I help myself to pay attention and to remember things? Please help?

  • Does anyone know if I could get "Fighting Dreamers" on the iTunes store?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWgx3K9IsV8&feature...

I absolutely LOOOOVE this song and I would love it even more if I didn't have to listen to it on YouTube. Does anyone know who the artist is and if I could get it on the iTunes store? I don't want to get it anywhere else because I don't trust anything else but iTunes. So please don't waste your time posting an answer that has a link to a different site I can look for it on.

    Thanks!

  • What is the first thing you think of when listening to this song?

Really listen to the song. Close your eyes and let the music move your mind. What's the first thing that comes to mind when listening to it? What does it remind you of?
