  • Netgear router remote management?

I have wireless internet through means of plugging a cable modem into a Netgear DGND3700 router.

I used to use the in-built ADSL modem for Internet, which meant that I could use remote management and remote storage by plugging my WAN IP address along with appropriate port into any browser.

Now that I've changed the system around, I cannot access anything remotely as the remote management IP address just shows the IP address of the router (given by the cable modem) rather than my actual WAN IP address.

I know that the router has access to the actual WAN IP because it can update Dynamic DNS correctly. Does anyone know how to get remote management working? I'm assuming it's a simple configuration or security setting I'm missing somewhere.

Couple of pictures to make it clearer - can upload more of the config pages if necessary.

  • Connecting Nintendo Wii to HDMI monitor?

I have a large monitor which I use as a computer screen and a TV. I want to connect up my Wii console to the monitor - however the Wii obviously has no HDMI support. Is there any way to connect them up? I've done a little research and found that you can buy a Wii > Component - but how would I connect the component to HDMI? Are there any working adapters? I don't want to spend a fortune; but if I was sure it would work I could stretch the budget.

  • AntiSpyware Soft Infection?

Recently been infected with a nasty little application calling itself "AntiSpyware Soft". It's one of those that repeatedly "scans" your system whilst disabling your Internet browser and stopping you opening any applications. It then tells you you've got a hundred thousand or so malicious files on your PC, and if you upgrade to the full version (only $19.99!!) it'll fix it all for you.

Not too worried about the program itself, it wasn't hassle to get rid of, however I am worried about how it got onto my computer. I was not downloading anything or installing anything at the time, I was browsing the web (trusted sites) and as I closed Firefox it started running.

Does anyone know where this spyware comes from? I'd feel more comfortable if I knew how it got there. I've done a full scan after removing it - which hasn't found anything else - so I really don't know what's caused it.

  • Acer Monitor S243HLBMII?

Looking to buy a new monitor, and I like the look of the Acer S243HLBMII. I've looked on a couple of sites for it, the price and model number seem to be the same; but the specification different?

    For example:

    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/657/864/-/12927921/Ac...

    http://www.oyyy.co.uk/product.php/105291/acer-s243...

I would rather buy it from Play, as I already have an account and I have always had good experiences with them (never used oyyy); therefore I'm happy to spend the extra £5, however the specification on oyyy.co.uk seems to be better.

Could anyone recommend what I should do? Would it be a good idea to get it from oyyy instead?

  • Where can I find software to use with my mobile phone?

I'm looking for software which I can use to write out text messages on my computer, and send them using my phone (connected to the computer via USB). I've tried MobilEDIT, but it crashed all the time so I'm looking for some new (preferably free) software. Anyone have any ideas?
