So my girlfriend has been using the pill for a couple of months now.

She has 21 days on them, then 7 days off, then another 21 on etc...

She'd had the 21, then 7 days off, then had just started on them again when we had sex - is she protected straight away after those 7 days off?

It's 2 weeks later now and she's started to feel a little sick - could she be pregnant?

Okay I'm pretty sure I'm just being really dumb about this and missing something obvious but I'm drawing a blank...
