I work for a small insurance agency outside of Philadelphia, Pa and am working on getting my P & C license. I have been working there since late April of 2009. I am the only employee; so it is the agent/boss and myself taking care of business. We are a small agency, but we have a good size book of business, so as an agency we are doing well.

After a year, I received a dollar raise (April 2010), and we (boss and I) intend on me being licensed before the end of August since that's when we slow down a little bit.

I take care of a lot at my agency and do a great job, but there are still a few things I know I can improve on and learn. I started at $11.00/hr, then went to $12.00/hr after my yearly raise.

How much could/should I be making holding a position like this? Should I be making more, or is this just right? What would/should I be making after being licensed? In my opinion, I feel as though I should be making more due to the cost of living/economy. Once the taxes, etc. come out of my check, it's kind of lower than what I need to be making.

I am 23 (which has no influence on what I should be earning) and have excellent computer skills and am picking this insurance stuff up. I just started working out of High School doing clerical office work (3 years experience at my first job-this is my second job) and did not attend college, although I have learned a lot in the insurance field already.

Where could this take me from here salary and position wise in another company (larger) down the road??

Just curious to see if anyone has started out like this before? I am always looking to move onto bigger and better things, but am not trying to rush it. :o)

Any imput from anyone who works in the insurance business or knows about what others make would be helpful. I am just curious where I stand.

My car has not started 3 times in the past 2 months or so when I tried to get it to go.

All 3 times, the car was parked and off for a short amount of time while I quick ran into a store. My lights and everything were off. When I went to start up the car I would just get a click. Each of these 3 times, I attempted to jump the car and had troubles each time. One coincidence between each different time I wouldn't start up is that is was raining. Weird, huh?

The car has ran fine in the past 2 months except for these rainy days. What is going on?

By the way...it is a 95 Cadillac Deville.

I have a 1995 Cadillac DeVille (which I've previously posted several problems about). My fuel Gage keeps flashing Empty and I keep getting the Very Low Fuel message. Is this caused by a bad sensor on my car or is it something else?

I really don't want to take it into the shop for something as small as this because I have already put lots of money into it recently. If it is a fix that is able to be done by someone with car repair knowledge, without having to go into the shop, that would be great.

Does anyone know what the cause of this is and about how much it would cost to adjust?

I have a 1995 Cadillac Deville Sedan (which I also posted another question on here for help) which the trunk pull down is not functioning. My father, who has car knowledge, and I tried installing a new trunk motor, but can't seem to get it working. I can get the trunk to latch, but it is still open about an inch or so. We checked the wires to see if the power was functioning and that seems to be ok along with the trunk fuse which is also ok.

Does anyone know somewhere where I can read up on the motor installation? Perhaps it is installed wrong and I can get some help? I don't want my mechanic to fix it quite yet. We are trying to fix it to save a little $$$ since I have had other costly repairs recently.

Please let me know if anyone has a fix for this issue.

P.S. I was told I might need to go to a Cadillac dealer for an additional pull down piece that connects to the motor. But we really don't know what piece is faulty, if any?!?!

I have a 1995 Cadillac DeVille Sedan that I just put $1,600 of work into at inspection time. AND something is still wrong with it! When I start the car and leave it idle, it makes this noise. When I hit the gas or go into reverse, the noise goes away. I also get a loud knock at times when I hit my gas along with a different rattling noise.

I popped the hood and the noise does not come from under there. It comes from underneath the center of the car. What could this be? I can't really afford to put any more work into in right now. Hopefully it is a cheap fix.

I've disabled a toolbar associated with Facebook thinking this would fix it, but I still keep getting the pop up. There are 3 users on the computer and it only shows up on 2 of the users when they log on. PLEASE HELP! Thanks!!
