  • is bacon made from goats?

My wife and I had dinner at a friend's home tonight...delicious, but something made me a bit uneasy. There were strips of bacon on the chicken and I asked if it was regular bacon, which I do not eat.

She said that it was goat bacon, so that it was OK.

Have your ever heard of goat bacon?

  • Anyone Familiar with I-40 between Asheville NC and Knoxville TN?

I'm driving north from Jacksonville, Florida to Knoxville, Tennessee. I usually get to I-75 and take it straight north through Georgia toward Knoxville, but it usually has very heavy traffic.

Yahoo Driving suggests taking I-95 to Orangeburg, SC and then taking I-26 through Columbia and up to Asheville, NC, where you take I-40 to Knoxville.

Someone told me that I-26 is a nice drive, but what about I-40? I don't like mountain driving, so I want to avoid this route if there are lots of tight turns and steep grades. I also read something about rock slides and construction along this stretch of I-40. What's the status now?

Please let me know what to expect on I-26 and I-40 in this area. Better yet, if you've taken both the I-75 route and this alternative route, please let me know which one you prefer and how they differ.

    Thanks so much :)

  • Is it OK to eat a nectarine as big as your head?

I know this girl who loves her fruit in the morning. I think that's a lot healthier than drinking juice. But I'm concerned about the size of the nectarine she ate today...it was as big as her head. Now I'm exagerating, but it was huge. We got into a discussion about the safety of eating such a big fruit.

My position is that if a fruit is close to the size of your head, you shouldn't eat it.

    What do you think?
