In your opinion, what are the 5 best finals performances all time?
Since 1980
5 AnswersBasketball8 years agoDoes Kobe have any championship runs that are better than Lebron's last two?
Lebron's championship playoff run these past 2 seasons are some of the best in history...he lead the team in ppg, rpg, apg, and was their best defensive player...he was the biggest reason they came back in 3 game 7's over the past 2 years.
Which run does Kobe have from his 5 rings that are better?
2000? Probably not since he played so bad in the finals and Shaq was a BOSS
2000? Arguable, but even then, it was Shaqs team and Kobe had more help than Lebron
2002? Probably not since Kings were the real champs that year
2009? Arguable, but Pau avg 19 and 11 on 55% shooting that postseason...more help than Lebron had
2010? Nope, since he shot 40.5% in finals, the lowest in history for a finals mvp and he also played bad vs Thunder in first round (shot 40% while Pau was the star of that series)
7 AnswersBasketball8 years agoWhat will it take for nba fans to start appreciating Lebron's progress as a jumpshooter?
LBJ's jumper has been improving every year as indicated by the numbers (40% from 3 this year is most impressive)
But all I hear from fans (or haters) is how he only scores so well cause of layups and dunks
Lebron's game is definitely revolved around fastbreaks and attacking the basket since he is still in his prime, but he definitely is able to shoot the ball when needed as most recently indicated in GAME 7 2013 FINALS
PROOF
2 AnswersBasketball8 years agoIs Kobe a system player?
Don't get me wrong...Kobe can put up great stats in any system...but he hasn't accomplished much without Phil Jackson and the triangle...this might be cause of his lack of leadership and low bball IQ
The triangle promoted ball movement, which Kobe struggles with, but he was able to succeed in it by winning 5 rings (with a lot of help from a great frontcourt...unlike MJ or Lebron)
But without the triangle, the Lakers offense is one of the LEAST EFFICIENT in the league thanks to Kobe going destroying ball movement...he missed the playoffs in 2005 and couldn't even lead his team a great regular season record these past 2 years despite having 2 All Star 7 footers on his team (Bynum/Pau 2012 and Howard/Pau 2013)
All the facts point to Kobe being a system player thanks to his lack of leadership and BBall IQ
5 AnswersBasketball8 years agoIs Wilt Chamberlain the most overrated player ever?
Facts to him being overrated:
-Played in a weak era with only 8-10 teams...yet he only won 2 rings...Shaq won 4 rings in a way more competitive era
-HUGE dropoff in ppg from regular season to playoffs...averaged 30 ppg in regular season to 22 ppg in playoffs
-Only won 1 championship with a STACKED Lakers team (Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Gail Goodrich)
-Played in an extremely fast paced era...no way he could average close to 50 points and 25 rebounds in today's slow paced game...he would still be a great player today though
-Could NOT hit FT's and had no range outside of 5 feet
Don't get me wrong, Wilt is one of the best centers of all time, but he ain't better than Shaq, Hakeem, or Kareem...Wilt is top 10 but NOT top 5 like most people say
1 AnswerBasketball8 years agoIs Tim Duncan a legit MVP candidate this season?
2012-2013 Stats- 19 pts (51.7% fg), 10.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.4 blocks in ONLY 31 minutes
Per 36 minute stats- 21.8 pts, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.7 blocks
Spurs 11-3
Without Duncan, Spurs are a 7th or 8th seed at best
5 AnswersBasketball8 years agoWho is the worst finals mvp of all time?
Is it Kobe in the 2010 finals? He averaged 28 pts, 8 rebounds and 4 assists...good numbers from the surface...but he also shot 40.5% and had a 1:1 assist to TO ratio. He also shot 28% in the 4th quarter...so much for the best closer in the game.
If not Kobe, then who else could it be?
9 AnswersBasketball9 years agoWhat kind of Paint Job is best?
I have a 1998 Toyota Camry. I'm only gonna be using it drive to and from work. I'm planning on keeping the car only for another 2 years and then buying a new one.
Should I get a single stage urethane paint job (lower quality) or a 2 stage Base Coat/Clear Coat paint job (higher quality)?
My cars gonna be kept outside in the sun most of the time. I heard single stage Urethane is more sensitive to UV rays and will fade the car out more. But, again, I plan on only using the car for 2 more years.
Will single stage be fine for 2 more years or will it fade out so quickly I'll need to get a more durable paint job?
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoWhat does Chris Paul need to do to get the respect he deserves?
;Another game yesterday CP3 closed out...he orchestrated that brilliant comeback...4 points AND 7 assists...but some fans still refuse to call him the best pg in the game
CP3 = BEST PG IN THE NBA
He is:
- the leagues best floor general
- a great leader
- efficient scorer
- takes over games when necessary (through scoring AND playmaking)
Yet, people still seem to give Tony Parker and Derrick Rose more credit...These guys might torch CP3 one on one, but I guarentee you they don't have the impact CP3 does on a team.
4 AnswersBasketball9 years agoChris Paul vs Derrick Rose?
Compare their skill set in the following areas. Mine are,
Shooting: Paul (Better Jump shot and 3 point shooter)
Slashing: Rose (too athletic)
Passing: Paul
Rebounding: Equal (although Paul is overall better rebounder cause of his career 4.5 average compared to Rose's 3.9 career average)
Efficiency: Paul
Leadership: Paul (My opinion, but I can see why some would say Rose)
Defense: Paul
Clutch: Paul (look at all the games CP3 closed out this year and then look at Rose's late second free throw bricks)
Overall: Chris Paul
16 AnswersBasketball9 years agoSo do Laker fans still think Kobe is the only clutch player on the team after tonight?
Lakers fans always say, "Kobe takes the last shot cause he's the only clutch player on the team".
Pau Gasol and Ramon Sessions definately deserve the ball more during crunch time after what they showed tonight.

5 AnswersBasketball9 years agoIf Kobe never won these past 2 rings, what player would fans compare him to?
Kobe is the closest player to MJ because of the past 2 rings he won.
But if he never won them and retired with his 3 original rings, who would people compare him to?
Scottie Pippen? Clyde Drexler? Jerry West?
4 AnswersBasketball9 years agoTell me again why Chris Bosh is getting paid more than DWade and as much as Lebron?
Bosh is a max contract player but he's a horrible rebounder...and on lot of night an extremely inefficient scorer. Signing Nene or Tyson Chandler would have worked out better.
He had 4 rebounds tonight...horrendous
4 AnswersBasketball9 years agoIs Kobe taking notes from Lebron on how to pass out of double teams?
Lebron to Battier for the 3...woot
5 AnswersBasketball9 years agoWestbrook is a better guard this year than Kobe and Wade?
Westbrook plays in an offense which doesn't generate high assist numbers...so don't tell me he doesn't pass. If you watch games, you would know this.
Westbrook has been the most consistent guard and contributed to more wins than these 2. Wade has been injured at times and Kobe has shot his team out of many games.
3 AnswersBasketball9 years agoIf Kobe and Magic Johnson switched teammates, how many rings would each have?
Kobe on the 80's showtime lakers- 0 rings...Kareem retires early and James Worthy doesn't become a hall of fame player.
Magic Johnson with Shaq- 6 rings....If Magic won with an older Kareem, Imagine how much better he would make a prime Shaq.
7 AnswersBasketball9 years agoWhy does everyone have a problem with Russell Westbrook's assist average?
The type of offense OKC is running is geared towards Westbrook scoring more and distributing less.
And Westbrook is not the only elite PG getting 5.5 assists...Tony Parker and Chauncey Billups were averaging the same amount of assists when they were winning championships. I might be premature here, but I think Westbrook has already established himself as a more dynamic player than Billups and Parker were. He'll only continue to get better and he brings so many abilities to the Thunder.
7 AnswersBasketball9 years agoHow many points would Kobe average in the 90's?
Lets say Kobe plays in the late 80's and 90's like Jordan did. How many points does he average with those defenses?
BQ: How far could he carry a team in the 90's as the leader? (assume Jordan is not around)
4 AnswersBasketball9 years agoIs Tim Duncan having an underrated season?
TD averaging 14.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.5 blocks...all in only 28 minutes!!
His PER is 21.31...Kobe Bryant's PER is 22.56...obviously TD plays less minutes and is just as effective as Kobe who takes more shots and plays more minutes.
TD has had 18 double doubles this year and the Spurs have only lost 3 of those games...obviously he is playing a huge part in their good record.
So do you think he is overlooked this season?
