  • Can you dye theatrical hair?

I have a box of theatrical hair, that's in the wrong colour. Will a semi-permanent hair dye work on it?

  • What should I feed my dog?

I'm getting a puppy soon (a papillon) and I'm trying to settle on what food to feed her in the long term. I've read a lot of conflicting stories from various sources telling me to feed her Iams, Purina, Pedigree, James Wellbeloved or another brand. I've also read a lot from people saying I should cook my own dog food, or feed her raw food, though the 'cook-your-own' and raw food information tends to be slightly overshadowed by the anti-capitalist conspiracy theory language many of the websites use.

So, can anyone tell me what's best and most economical to feed her?

  • If you get a legal polygamous marriage and move somewhere else...?

Say you got married to several people in a country where polygamy was legal. Would your marriages still be considered valid if you moved to a country where polygamy isn't legal, like England? Or would only one marriage count? Or none?

  • How do you smoke out a snake?

My snake escaped and is in the gap between the floor and the bottom shelf of the kitchen cupboards. She won't come out by herself (it's been 4 days!) and when we tried to lure her out with bait, she managed to yank it off the stick, so now she's not even showing her face for food. We can't dismantle the cupboards without destroying them, and we live rented, so that's not a possibility.

We're basically down to either calling pest control and seeing if they can get her without hurting her, or smoking her out. Is smoking her out a possibility? If so, how could we do that without hurting her?

  • My snake has escaped, how can I get her to come back?

My pet snake has escaped. I am not sure if she is in the house anymore. I last saw her yesterday, but today, she wasn't in her vivarium. Has anyone else had any experience in getting a missing snake to return?

  • How do I stop myself from going back to him?

I've just ended a relationship with a guy I was with for three years. I love him a lot, and I wish I could stay with him, but we're just too different. I can't envisage a future with him at all. When I was with him I felt like I didn't enjoy being around him much, and the moment I left him, I felt free to live how I want to live.

But since the break up, I've started missing him terribly. I left him on Sunday, and it's now Friday. I can't stop myself from remembering how wanted he made me feel, or how much I loved being hugged by him (which is silly, because sometimes I got really uncomfortable with him being clingy). I just keep thinking about how much he loves me, and how much I loved him, and longing to be in his arms. He treated me very well, even if I didn't treat him too nicely.

How to I stop myself from asking him to have me back? I know I treated him badly, and I know that if I were to be with him again, I'd want to leave him again pretty soon. But that doesn't stop this from being so hard.

  • How do I deal with my mother in this break-up?

I left my partner of three years recently. My mother absolutely adores him, and really wants us to stay together. She's coming up with all these reasons for us to be together, and keeps crying because I'm hurt him.

The boyfriend and I, well, we're just not meant to be together. We want utterly different things from life and while I loved being with him in the short term, i couldn't imagine being with him in the long term. Far from it, in fact. However, my mother keeps coming up with ways we could stay together like 'why can't you just wait and see?', like there's something wrong with not wanting to stay with someone you don't truly love.

Frankly, I feel like she's the child, and we're the parents. I can't deal with her constant childish behavior, like right now, she's giving me the silent treatment. I can't keep trying to talk to her sensibly when she tries to make me want to stay with him. Anyone dealt with this before? Please help me.

  • My rabbit is pooping logs rather than pellets?

Anyone know if this is something I should worry about? The logs are solid, and look like they're made of lots of pellets together. They look shiny when fresh too. No signs of blood.

  • I can't log in to my World of Warcraft trial?

I downloaded the WoW trial today, and the email they sent me said I had to use the email address and password I provided them with to log into the game itself. Well, when I try to do that, it tells me 'There are no World of Warcraft accounts linked with this Battle Net account'. I can't ask this on their forums, because annoyingly enough, you need a CD key to access the forums, which I obviously don't have.

Any suggestions? I don't want to lose too much trial time.

  • Where should I emigrate to?

    Hi there,

I've been after emigrating somewhere for while now, as the UK seems to be getting real conservative and I'm finding it hard to be here at the moment. I want to move somewhere in the world that fits at least some of the following conditions:

    Socially liberal

    Good level of LGBT rights

    State run health care

    Relaxed, open attitude towards sex

High standard of living (tax not an issue if it gets spent on something decent)

    A livable minimum wage

    High level of atheism/agnosticism

Ideally a country in which pornography laws are loose (good barometer of sexual rights)

    Loose drinking laws

    Good public transport

Yeah, yeah, I know, sounds too good to be true, right? However, if there is somewhere out there that even kind of fits the bill, please tell me. I'm really bored of England. I need to move. Also, I'll be aiming for a city, rather than suburbs or countryside, so if this wonderful land exists, what's it's capital?

  • He wants kids, she doesn't?

Well, my sister's husband of four years has suddenly decided he wants kids. At the beginning of their relationship, they both agreed that neither wanted kids. Now, he's saying he always has done, he just thought my sister would change her mind. She still loves him, but he's becoming increasingly negative towards her. He turns everything she does into a 'oh, so you can watch CSI tonight, but I'm not even allowed one kid?!' type argument. He's roping in friends and relatives to pressure her into having a child with him. Adelaide is adamant she doesn't want kids at all, for many reasons. She's been like this since we were little kids. She's considering a divorce, but against my advice, she doesn't have a prenup, and as she earns much more than him, she stands to lose a lot, perhaps even the house. In this economy, that's not good.

So, what I'm asking is: what should she do? Hope he gets the point? Divorce him and hope her lawyer does a good job? She's pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place here, so any advice would be great.

  • Arabic translation please?

Hello! I've got a question over in Languages about getting some Arabic translated. Somebody suggested I post over here too. So, if someone would do me the honour, I'd very much like some Arabic songs translated. I have no idea what they are about, so I deeply apologise if it's anything offensive. However, given the source, I doubt it's anything offensive. Here's a link to my question:

  • Can anyone translate this Arabic for me?

I'd like to know a translation, if possible, written in both Arabic and English, but if you can only do it in English, that's fine too. I'm pretty certain it's Arabic in the songs, as they are all from a Moroccan scene.
