Staying in Iebua at State Tower. Roughly how much is the taxi fare from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the Si Lom district?

Flying home with Emirates from Hong Kong with a 19 hour stopover in Bangkok later this year. Just wondering is it possible for me to exit the airport to have a look around the city, maybe find a hotel to get some sleep and then return to the airport in time for my flight or do I need to stay within the airport. As far as I know as a British national travelling on a British passport I am allowed to enter Thailand Visa free for 30 days . Please help me out!

I'm currently working on a dilapidated HP Pavilion dv9000 that was "top of the line" at the time I bought it in 2008, now I'm looking to upgrade. Can anyone tell me what is the new "top of the line" HP laptop or recommend a HP laptop for me? I should say at this time I'm only interested in buying a HP laptop and nothing else, call me narrow minded but its what I'm after. What aircraft are British Airways currently using for their London Heathrow (HLR) - Hong Kong (HKG) route? I'm guessing their still using their 747 fleet but i know they are planning to retire 5 of them soon and i believe they have refitted some of their 747 fleet with more first class seats for the Australian route

Hay there everyone. I have a big problem. You see were due to fly to Hong Kong soon but this year we’ve chosen to fly with Qatar Airways. Well the problem is first of all we fly into Dublin to catch a flight to London to get on the flight to Doha but the flight arrives in Dublin at 08:50 and here is where the problem lies.

Aer Lingus have two flights that we could get to take us to London but both of them are very tight for time. There is a flight that leaves Dublin at 9:50, only one hour after we arrive and I don’t know if there will be enough time to get our bags and then head over to T2 (which I have yet to use), check in and go though screening for Aer Lingus but this flight option give us more than enough time in London to catch our Doha flight.

The second option is wait in Dublin for the 12:10 Aer Lingus that arrives in London at 13:25 and I don’t know if that will be enough time to get from Heathrow T1 to T4 and check in and so on.

I’ve emailed Aer Arann about setting up a flight connection in Dublin so we don’t need to claim our bags or check in again just take the tunnel to T2, quick screening and then on the flight.

So basically the question is what should I do? Should I wait for word of the connection from Aer Arann and book accordingly or do you think I should book the later flight from Dublin and will I make it to T4 if I do?
