OU/Texas Hey Becky was that too close?
I have said all week that the ugliest team would loose this game. Not a stellar season for either team, but it is not last year. BOOMER...SOONER
1 AnswerFootball (American)1 decade agoIncreased soil temperature data?
Dont kill me yet hear me out. In some places on the planet the temperatures are higher (north and south of 45 degree longitudes) the North and South pole regions. Where can I find information on increased soil temperatures of the Earth? I believe the temperature increases before the carbon dioxide increases. I wrote my undergrad thesis on global warming and cant seem to let it go. Any help would be nice.

Congratulations Alabama.
9 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agowho agrees Jim Tressel class act?
I have never been an Ohio State fan, but I never heard Jim Tressel speak before the end of the rose bowl. He was very grateful in his teams win over Oregon. Ohio state fans you are lucky to have such a leader at the helm in Jim Tressel. Congratulations Buckeyes.
14 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWhy the Heisman curse?
I realize there is no curse, but the post season numbers are Heisman winners have won 20 times, lost 27 times, and not played in bowl games 26 times. What do you think is the real reason behind these numbers.
4 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoI have just adopted the university of Cincinnati as my semi favorite team...?
Well behind Oklahoma of course. Win the sugar bowl. Should I buy a team jersey or just yell at the TV like everyone else.
7 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoHow many fumbles, turnovers, interceptions and reviews OU / OSU?
Will these teams actually score today?
2 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWhats up with Nebraska?
If their D played like they did against OU every week they would be pretty good.
Congrats Scott, you Cornhead.
3 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoAre you upset about the Brandon Spikes eye gouge?
So you are really upset? then complain to the SEC Commissioner Mike Slive 205-458-3000. I did, the commissioner did not call me back. The SEC is one of the foremost conferences in college football. They should be a leader not an embarrassment. Gator fans take over your conference. Everyone else just complain about the eye gouging penalty.
12 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoBig 10 why do your refs suck so bad?
Indiana is getting raped by the zebras.
8 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoSooners how did you like the KU game?
There are some area for improvement. It took a little while for the defense to find Reesing in the backfield, but they shut them down. In the second half the D started looking for the shovel pass inside. Jones is coming along and the O line is starting to catch a groove. Good improvement over last week.
3 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWhat are rivalries your team is in?
18 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoDid you know that Texas and OU football....?
has one of the most exciting rivalries in college football. Dating all the way back to 1900, Texas has 59 wins 49 losses and 5 ties against Oklahoma. In these 115 games one of these teams were ranked 95 games, in 35 games both teams were ranked. Two of these games OU and Texas were ranked #1 and #2.
Over the years, since 1893, Texas has an overall winning percentage of 72.0% with 837 wins, 317 losses and 33 ties. They have played in 47 bowl games and have won 29 conference championships and four national titles.
With the record that the University of Texas has there is no wonder why the fans of the Longhorn's will show you the famous hookem horns and sing those famous words:
The eyes of Texas are upon you,
All the live long day.
The eyes of Texas are upon you,
You cannot get away.
Do not think you can escape them,
At night, or early in the morn'.
The eyes of Texas are upon you,
Till Gabriel blows his horn!
and bleed burnt orange till the day they die. This is the kind of inspiration that any college football wants their team to be. Truly, My hats off to the University of Texas Longhorns.
God bless the Longhorns, See you next year in the Cotton Bowl.
3 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoDid you Know about Texas homegrown talent?
An Sports Illustrated study of 2004-08 recruiting data for the 65 BCS-conference schools and Notre Dame revealed that programs which draw at least 50 percent of their players from within 200 miles or from within their home state stand a far better chance of winning consistently than those that did not. Of the nine schools that won 50 or more games from 2004-08, seven signed more than half their recruits during that span from within their state or from within 200 miles of campus: Texas (93.2% from in-state, 71.8 percent from within 200 miles). This where everyone goes shopping for talent.
Texas is wonderful and OU sucks.
5 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoIsn't the University of Texas Football team.......?
An exceptional football team. With a mature quarterback at the helm to lead the offense and quickness from the backs and receivers, this team is an explosive dynamo. The Texas defense compliments the efforts of the offense by shutting down opponents and creating scoring opportunities for the offense through turnovers. The special teams are special. Their kick returns provide important starting points for this offense to launch from and the kicking teams trap their opponents deep in their own territories to mentally manhandle other teams. Texas is wonderful and OU sucks.
