I have a lab, and he is 6 months old.

He is good as gold all day, he will sit by the back door when he needs to go to the toilet and he hasn't had an accident for ages, yet when I shut him in the kitchen for the night, he wees and poos on the floor. As a young pup he was paper trained and this worked for me, in the day and the evening, I gradually removed the paper and now he does all his business outside. I know he can go through the night as when my daughter was ill, we slept downstairs as not to disturb my other children and he wasn't locked in the kitchen he had full run of the downstairs and he didn't have a accident anywhere!

I take his food up at 4, and his water comes up at 10 when I go to bed, so not really sure if there is a lot else I could be doing to help him master this particular instruction!?
