  • How do i catch more fish?

i just got back into fishing a couple years ago. i'm trying to learn as much as i can and turn around and apply it, but it seems that whenever i go out i sit there and cast for hours and only bring in one or two fish at most. i have a tackle box full of all kinds of lures like crankbaits, spinnerbaits, plastics and various topwaters as well. i seem to have had the most luck on shallow cranks, but it's never consistant and i still don't ever get more than 1 or 2 fish per trip. i try to get out often, but my job makes it so i can only get out in the evening lately. i have yet to get out in the early morning yet this year (which is when i'd prefer to go). i've been skunked the last few times i've been out, and i know that happens every now and then, but it happens a lot to me. does anyone have any tips or advice that can help me bring more fish to the boat (or bank for that matter)? i primarily fish for bass and pike.

  • how do i fish a frog lure?

i'm still learning about artificial lures and have started increasing my collection of top water lures over the last year or so. i've heard a lot of people saying that they have luck with frogs, like the SPRO bronzeye series lures. i'm seriously thinking of investing in some, but would like some input as to what techniques to use when fishing them, and what colors seem to be the most productive.

  • best time for topwater fishing?

i live in SW Michigan and just started getting back into fishing the last couple of years. i used to go a lot when i was a kid, but never had much luck with anything but gills and sunfish. i finally started using artificial lures and am slowly gaining more success with them. i've heard that spring time is a good time to use top water lures and have been building my collection. is now a good time to start using them, or should i be trying something else this time of year?
