If you use your 4x12 without unplugging the internal speakers you may DAMAGE YOUR AMP.
Assuming the speaker sockets are wired in parrallel (normal)
your amp will be feeding 16 + 8 Ohms = 3 Ohms!
Transistor amp = overheated output transistors. If no thermal cut out, burnt out output (and often speakers)
Valve (tube amp) = overheated output transformer. reduced sound quality, long term use = burn out

MosFet Amp = overheat, usually amp output drops to virtualy no sound or amp shuts down completely, normally Ok after cooling down

Now that smoking is banned in public places how many of you are going to stop using your cars?
Lets be honest half hour in a cigarette smoke filled room wont kill you anywhere near as quickly as a room full of exhaust fumes would, and there are more cars than smokers in this country.
By the way did you know Japan has the toughest Exhaust emission controls in the world, and the lowest lung cancer, despite having the highest percentage of smokers per head of population
