  • Torn labrum Surgury on July 2?

Please help, I'm having shoulder surgery to fix a torn labrum next Friday and I have no idea what to expect afterwards. All I know is that they doctor will be fixing the torn labrum and fixing some stabilization problems in the shoulder. I would greatly appreciate any assistance on what to expect after this surgery. I know I was told that the surgery was going to require a nerve block that I wasn't looking forward to and I was told that it was going to be done arthroscopically with a possible tiny incision behind the shoulder.

  • Posterior Tibial Tendon Surgery? Help!?

I'm getting married in June and scheduled to have posterior tibial tendon surgery at the beginning of December. I'm a little nervous with still so much to do before the wedding. I'm sort of wondering what to expect. Is it a type of surgery that you get to go home the same day? Where the foot is just simply in an ace wrap. My orthopedic didn't tell me much other then I would be on crutches for 2 months. But I was told that after ACL surgery and I was walking the day of surgery. I was sort of wondering if it was similar where you can walk on the foot the day of surgery, and your home the same day. I want to know what to expect. Will I be in heals for the wedding?

  • What does this Ankle MRI mean?

I just had an MRI that reads, posterior tibialis and peroneal tenosynovitis, tear of the anterior talofibular ligament and a ganglion cyst 7mm. All I can seem to get out of this MRI report is that there is a torn ligament, a cyst, and tendonitis. But does that mean that it's going to take a lot longer for my ankle to heal? I originally sprained my ankle playing softball and haven't been back to sports since because of pain. Do you think my orthopedic is going to let me go back soon? What does this MRI mean in English and what could my orthopedic say?

  • I sprained my ankle Wednesday night, it's now Friday night and the swelling is getting worse why?

Please help!! On Wednesday night I slid into second base and the short stop accident stepped on my foot causing my ankle to swell up immediately. When I went to the ER they put it in an air cast and said it was sprained. It's now Friday and the foot continues to swell. The area in front of the toes after now starting to bruise along with the toes. Also the other side of the foot is starting to balloon out and the back of the foot is now terribly bruised along with under the ankle. The x-rays said there were no breaks but I don't know whether to go back or not because the swelling is getting worse, however the pain isn't worse.

  • How do I gain speed without tossing the acl brace?

So I've had 3 acl surgeries. Two on one knee and one on the other. I've had 8 knee surgeries all together and I'm only 28. My orthopedic requires me to wear an acl brace on both knee's for sports. I'm only wearing one on the knee that I've torn twice. How do I gain speed or run at normal speed with the acl brace on? It really annoys me that when I play softball people get a pinch runner for me because of the speed factor. Yet when I don't wear the brace I feel so much faster but the knee will give out. I'm competitive and have no problem in sliding with the brace on or anything that. I'm the first person that will admit that braces serve no purpose other then reminding you of a problem. But I refuse to tear another acl. How do gain speed with that brace on? I use to have to lead teams in stolen bases in college no the speed is gone.

  • I was in a car accident on Friday.?

I told everyone I was fine, but the top part of my back is real sore now. I really think it's muscle based. If it's muscle based how long should it take to feel better. I was rear-ended.

  • Wisdom teeth, dry sockey?

Could I posssibly have dry socket? I had my wisdom teeth out 6 days ago. They were all impacted. The top two were nothing, but the bottom two are so painful. I feel like I'm popping pain killers like they are candy and I hate taking pain killers. I'm taking more pain killers then I did after ACL reconstruction. My gums are still all swollen and I can't seem to get the swelling down. I know I need to call the oral surgeon. Eatting a meal still hurts. I just want to get off the pain killers.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth out last Friday. All 4 were impacted. The top two were nothing and I was fine by that day. However it's been a week now and my bottom teeth are still painful. Is this natural? Can you still be having pain a week afterwards? How long does it take to completely get over the discomfort?
