What do I need to renew my TX Drivers license?
2 AnswersInsurance & Registration6 years agoCan I get into McComb's?
I really want to attend a top business program like McComb's. I am a Texas resident, so for us, the top 7% rule applies for automatic admission. However, my school is one of the most competitive in the state. Ranking-wise, I am a little bit outside the 10% line. My ACT score is 34. I have solid extracurriculars, leadership positions, and can write pretty good essays. I will also get amazing rec letters. Do I have a good chance of making it?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)7 years agoTexas driver's license renewal?
I am 16, living in Texas, and my license is going to expire in a couple of days because my EAD is expired. However, my dad doesn't want to pay the $400 for renewal of EAD, so he is telling me to wait until we get our Green Card, which will be in 2-3 months. I don't want to wait that long, so is there an alternative way to renew? I am not a citizen, and we are going to get our green card soon.
4 AnswersImmigration8 years agoHow to beat this type of player in tennis?
Tomorrow, I will play a guy with a HUGE forehand and a pretty nasty kick serve. If your ball lands in the service box, he will hit a slap winner with his forehand 90% of the time.
His weaknesses-
-mediocre backhand
-mediocre net play
-not as quick as I am
My strengths-
-great forehand
-serve (I can hit all types of serves anywhere in the box)
-net play
-speed
My weaknesses-
-mediocre backhand
-lack of confidence (in regards to this upcoming match)
I am nervous because this match is very important for me. What can I do to beat this guy? Whoever gives me the most specific answer with a precise game plan will get Best Answer.
7 AnswersTennis8 years agoCan I be recruited to a university for tennis and not get a scholarship?
Answer may be sort of obvious, but the question is a little more in depth. I have come into contact with a National Collegiate Athletic Scout. However, I'm not good enough to get a scholarship to a D1 school, but my college application by itself is pretty strong. I am a good tennis player, but not good enough to play top of D1. I am just good enough to be on the team, maybe the bottom. I was wondering if the scout could just tell the coach at the D1 school to flag me as a recruit without any scholarship? I could just apply for the need-based scholarship.
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)8 years agoWhat should I do to get a solid understanding of investing/trading/etc...?
I am 16 years old. I know a decent amount of information in finance, as far as a 16 year old is concerned. However, I can't get enough of this stuff. It's my goal to become a successful investment banker or stock trader when I grow up. I want to learn everything about investing and more. Right now, I am currently on summer vacation, so I have more time in my hands than I know what to do with. What can I do to get a head start on investing and trading? I'm open to all ideas (reading certain news sites, mock trading, free courses, etc...). And also, any tips from experienced investors or traders are appreciated.
3 AnswersInvesting8 years agoIs it possible for college tennis coaches to notice you even though you are not very high up in USTA rankings?
I am 16, going into junior year. I don't play too many USTA tournaments anymore because of my busy schedule, but I think I have the talent to play college tennis in the future. I have been on Varsity since freshman year. Is it possible for a college tennis coach to recruit me even though I am low in the rankings? If so, how am I even supposed to be noticed by college coaches?
4 AnswersTennis8 years agoFirst time SAT score?
I took the SAT for the first time as a sophomore in june, and got a 2010. This was way lower than I was expecting, because on practice tests I would get at least 2200. I didn't take any classes to prep, all I did was take tests from the blue book. Can anyone explain why I got so much lower on the real SAT than the practice ones? I did the practice tests under precise timing. Also, is 2010 a good score for the first time? I am aiming for a final score of 2300+.
1 AnswerStandards & Testing8 years agoWhat am I supposed to do with the effects of this acne wash?
I have been using the PanOxyl 4 acne wash for about 4 days now. My skin is peeling from dryness. Also, I am getting a lot of new pimples because all the bacteria is being removed from my pores. Am I supposed to pick these pimples? It may sound like a stupid question, but these pimples are really easy to pop, and there is no blood or pain. If not, do I just wait for these pimples to go away? And for the dryness, do I just use a lot of lotion? I am under the sun a lot too, so is SPF 100 sunscreen good enough?
3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body8 years agoCan I use two face washes at once?
So I have been using the PanOxyl 4 acne wash, but on the label, it says not to use any other acne medication at the same time. However, I have been wanting to use the Neutragena Deep Clean Cleanser which is meant for improving complexion. Since this is not really an acne medication, is it safe to use with the PanOxyl 4 on a daily basis?
3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body8 years agoHelp with acne face wash?
I have been using the PanOxyl 4% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash for about 3 days. My skin is getting kind of dry, but that was expected. But I was not expecting my skin to start breaking out worse than before. Now I am getting all these little pimples and a red bump on my cheek that hurts. So is the face wash working? I have heard that acne gets worse before its fixed. If that's the case, I can deal with a few days of bad breakouts. If that is not the case, should I try a new face wash? Any suggestions for a different face wash, if needed?
3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body8 years agoHow can I expand my tennis business?
Hey, I'm 16 years old. I have a business related to tennis. Basically, I re-string tennis rackets. I have been thinking that I should start offering lessons to beginners also. Anyhow, I want to know how to increase revenue, because profits are low this month. If it's not evident already, I play tennis myself. I play tennis tournaments all across the state, and sometimes around the nation. I have experience in tennis, but I don't know how to get the word out about my business. I'm guessing most of you all will say "advertise," but remember, there are other services that have more experience than me and are actually big businesses. Also, I can't spend much money doing this, so any way to get the word out about my business should be low cost, if any cost at all.
Thanks

1 AnswerSmall Business8 years agoAdvice on how to become an investment banker?
I am a sophomore in high school.
1) What can I do RIGHT NOW so I can get some experience/knowledge in finance and economics?
2) Which colleges will help me get a job a tier 1 banking firm?
3) What should I major in college?
4) Will I get a job easily right out of college? (assuming I go to an accredited college)
5) Will I have to do MBA?
6) I want to learn anything and everything about investments, stocks, finance, etc. Any informative sites or courses that I can enroll in as a high school student? (kinda the same as question 1)
3 AnswersInvesting8 years agoCan I get into UT Austin? Which elite colleges can I get into, if any?
I am a sophomore and I want to go to UT, Stanford, Yale, or UC Berkeley. I know that you have to have good grades (I am in the top 10%, but don't tell me that grades have to be amazing, people have gotten in with 3.4-3.8 GPA's). What I really want to know is what else does it take? I have good SAT scores, and I think I can get close to 2400 in the June SAT I'm taking. Put that aside, what I'm really betting on are my extracurriculars. I am Varsity Tennis Captain, part of 6 clubs and have a position of leadership in 2 of them. Out of school, I volunteer a lot, play national-level tennis, run my own tennis-related business (equipment services, lessons, etc...), will work at a tennis center over the summer, and am currently coding a mobile game (which will release in the summer, and then I will make more games/apps). I take myself to be a pretty good writer, so I think that the application essays are going to be my forte, and I have a lot of teachers/adults/counselors that will write great rec letters for me.
With all of these things combined, I think I have a good shot, but some people keep telling me that I have no chance! Now, I am not saying that I will be accepted for sure, but I think I have a fairly good chance.
If not, can anyone please tell me what else I can do?
P.S- Please don't troll, if you think I will be rejected, I respect your opinion, but the real question is how can I get in, so please tell me what I can do to increase my chances.
Thanks
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)8 years agoI need a six-pack within 4 weeks...?
Let's establish some things first:
I'm muscular, but not around the tummy
I'm not fat
I have a solid two-pack, and the other two are somewhat visible
My body fat % is somewhere around 15 or 16
Now I don't need Spartan like abs, but I would like all six to be visible.
I've really cut out junk food from my diet, exercise everyday, and do ab workouts for like 20-30 minutes a day.
Will I get my six-pack in 4 weeks? If not, what else can I do?
I'm the only meat-eater in my family, so I don't have any chicken or anything at my house. But I do get a lot of protein, don't worry. Also, I don't have time to go to the gym, so whatever exercises you suggest, make it something I can do at home. I do have dumbbells though (5, 8, 25 lbs).

3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)8 years agoWill I go up in the Tennis Recruiting List?
I am a sophomore in high school who is somewhere in the 600's on "www.tennisrecruiting.net" because for the past 2-4 months, I have been sort of inactive in USTA. But come June, I will play a couple of tournaments, one being the US Open National Qualifying Sectional Tournament. If I win this tournament, I will go on to play in a tournament at Yale, and if I win that, I get a wildcard into the US Open Qualifier Rounds. Now, I won't get to the Actual US Open, but I think I can make it to the next tournament in Yale. Based on this, how far will I go up in the tennis recruiting rankings? Will I go up at all? Also, I'm a little confused as to what determines your rank on tennisrecruiting.net...does it have something to do with rank in USTA? That is the only way to explain why I have went down...
Thanks
4 AnswersTennis8 years agoWhat are my chances of getting into Stanford, UPenn, or UC Berkley? How can I improve my chances?
Okay so these are my dream schools. Currently I am a sophomore so there's still a lot of stuff I need to do. This is what I have so far...
Academics-
SAT- 2140 (will retake in a month, expecting 2300+)
Rank-23 (extremely competitive)
GPA- 5.35 out of 6.0 (My GPA will go up greatly because im taking 12 more AP classes in the next two years. I've taken one AP class so far.
PS- Very interested in finance and business
Extracurricular-
Varsity tennis since freshman year. Captain this year, and most probably the next two years as well
I am playing in the US Open Pre Qualifying tournament this summer (Yes, the Grand Slam ;) )
Model UN club
Basics of Stock Investing Club (will be President Junior and Senior year)
POSSIBLY doing an internship at Goldman Sachs over the summer
Have my own business (tennis-related)
Currently developing two mobile apps. One is a game, the other is a widget. They will release summer of 2013.
Tutor
Give tennis lessons
Work part time at local tennis club
Volunteered at a professional level tennis tournament (I was on TV!)
Most valuable player on tennis team
National Honor Society- will be Vice President next year, President senior year
Teen Leadership Coppell- extremely selective group that develops leadership skills
So as you can see, tennis and business are my two main interests. These are just the stuff that came to mind, but they're the major ones. Ill be doing more things over the next two years related to business and tennis. I know this could get me into some pretty decent colleges, but I am DYING to go to Stanford, UPenn, or UC Berkley...what are my chances? I would prefer if people who got accepted to Stanford answered, but if you are good with college admissions, please answer. And also, what can I do to improve my chances of getting in?? Thank you so much.
P.S- sorry if this portrayed me as a braggart...in resume's you are supposed to brag a little, so please don't misunderstand me.
4 AnswersHigher Education (University +)8 years agoHow much would I get for selling my xbox 360 and games?
I have an Xbox 360 Elite with 250 GB hard drive.
These are the games that I own-
Lego Batman the Video game
Pure
Call of Duty MW2
Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
Top Spin 4
Halo 4
FIFA 2012
Call of Duty Black Ops
Plus one controller, but I guess that would go with the console itself...how much would I get if I sold all this to Gamestop? How much could I sell all this for on Amazon? Any tips on how to sell it for the maximum price? Im trying to save up for either the new xbox or PS4. Thanks!
