I was arrested in December for DUI, reckless driving, reckless endangerment. I went to court in February and pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to diversion which I begin on March 9th. I go to court tomorrow March 6th on the on reckless driving, and reckless endangerment charges. I was notified by my attorney today March 5th, that they having wrongfully sentenced me on my DUI case, and want to change the sentence to something other then diversion. They said that after I was sentenced they came across information that they didn't have before, and now they want to include it. I feel this violates my 5th amendment rights, in some aspect they want to recharge me for DUI and change the sentence. I was charged in Oregon. Can someone please explain how they are able to change a verdict before I even begin the sentence. I could understand if I did something after I started diversion, but I haven't. My attorney said it is something to do with ethics and the court of law. To me it sounds like they rushed the case and left out info, now they want to back track and cover what they missed.

I received a check in July for my BAH and books for the month of June. I will I receive the BAH check on the first of August, or how does that work? I am not asking how long will it take to receive BAH, I already know the answer to that. I just want to know what day the VA pays regularly after everything is in effect.

I haven't been to the Oregon coast in a very longtime, (we live in Portland) my girlfriend and I our taking our first out of town trip this weekend. I am looking for a really nice beach, with good restaurants, gift shops, just a great place for us to spend good quality time together. Wife left me and my 4 kids back in October. She pays me no support at all. She is saying she wants to file married jointly or she wants to file married but separate, and she wants to claim one kid. I get my W-2's tomorrow, she has no clue when she will get hers. I am thinking about just going down and filing married but separate and claiming all 4 kids. Would there be anything she could do about it? She said we would get more money back if we filed married jointly, but she only wants to do that so she can have a % of the money so she can buy a cheap car. I am thinking that she can figure out another way to get a car.........am I being to harsh???

As of right now I am receiving compensation of 20%. I do have knee problems but they listed me at 0% for them. Lately my right knee has been giving out, and locking up.......and has been giving me a lot more pain problems. How long does it take for them to re-evaluate my claim, once I go in and see the doc. For those who have visited a VA hospital, will I being seeing a military doc or do they have civilian docs that work there? The docs that I seen at my separation and claim were navy docs, and I felt they just did the bare minimum to get me through the process. Although I had documents that from other civilian docs that said my knee condition was more serious then the navy docs stated.

I am getting ready to file for a divorce on Nov 24th. My name is on all the birth certificates, but now she is saying that our first born might not be mine. I am 100% sure she is mine. Can my wife still make me take a paternity test if I am on the birth certificate and I am taking full responsiblity that she is mine.

Right now I have custody of my kids, for the simple fact my wife left all of us. I don't see an attorney until the 24th of November. My wife is demanding that I let her take the kids in someone elses car that she is driving. What if her name is not on the insurance, do I have to let my kids get in that car with her?

She is already demanding stuff that she wants, but do to the circumstances under which she left, I feel I have to stand my ground for me and my children. Please fill me in on what to expect.........I want to be prepared as possible, I know my attorney will help me out as well, but the more I know, the better off I will be. Thank You

My wife has left me and 4 children, I don't think she is grasping the concept of what she is really getting herself into. She makes a little more than minimum wage, roughly 8.40 or 8.50 an hour. I told her that I am going down to file for a divorce, and from what I am told, once temporary custody is established then a support order will be issued. Based off of her income, how much will she be ordered to pay? She has no place to house our children, so as of right now, I am not to worried about the kids going to her. I am still trying work things out with her, trying to get her home, we all need her here, but if it does come to a divorce, I am just trying to get some info. I have two RB slots in my fantasy football league, I have Addai already filled in one, and now I have to choose between Mendenhall and Barber. Barber who's hip is not 100%, and he also has a fractured thumb, but they say he will still start. Both Jones and Choice are healthy, so I am unsure how many plays he will actually get and will he preform well. Then there is Mendenhall who seems to be healthy according to reports, but they are playing Minnesota, which has the outstanding d-line, and I am unsure if he will produce the numbers that he is projected to get. Yes, Vick did plead GUILTY, he knew he was wrong, he knew he was going to prison, he knew he would pay lots of fines, and have to do community events. So you so called animal support groups, activist, PETA, ect...get over it, he is back in the NFL, he is human, he made a mistake. You can't tell me that there is at least one person you know (personally), or even maybe yourself that has done something illegal. Do you hold that over your head, or that persons head? Look at all the people we vote into office every 2-4 years that commit illegal activities. You don't see people standing outside there offices/places of work protesting them, instead we say, darn, maybe he learned his lesson, and set an example for the rest. I am glad to see Vick back in the NFL, I think he will be a much better role model, and a better person. I hope all the protest groups, get hit by the bus that brings them in to Philadelphia. Well time to go order my Vick jersey.
