I am trying to program a calculator in visual basic. It has 5 operations controlled by radio buttons. I have completed the calculations part, I just cannot figure out how to reliably catch this. ive attempted using a try catch exception but I dont think I ve used it successfully. I am confused as to whether the try statements are independent of the button functions or if the functions should simply be included within the try statement. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I am looking into a new 1/8 " plug for a new headphone cable, i ran into the canara f11 and the canara f12, identical in appearance but one is mono mini, and the other is stereo mini, which is better?

so i am making a program to do some simple math. like calculate mean,mode,range etc.

i am using an array to hold all of the values entered! the problem is how do i ask the computer to caluculate the avg of numbers 1 - 10 in my array without actually saying numbers[1] + numbers[2] etc...

heres the code i have so far

I am making a calculator app in vb and i need to be able to change the text of certain buttons when i click the 2nd key, problem is although i can change the text, i need to change the tag because it is how the computer is figuring out what function to perform, how do i change a tag within the code or at runtime? I have tried me.btnadd.tag = "Sin", but this is not working!

I am programming a slot machine type thing for VB and i am trying to assing a variable like this:

Dim imgcherry As Image = Image.FromFile("bin\cherry.jpg")

it would seems as though it finds the filre since no error is given but when i ask it to display in the picture box like this:

Select Case intslot1

Case intslot1 = 1

Me.imgslot1.Image = imgcherry

Case intslot1 = 2

Me.imgslot1.Image = imggrapes

Case intslot1 = 3

Me.imgslot1.Image = imghoney

End Select

but then nothing shows up in the picture box after i run it? what am i doing wrong??? thanks :)

SO i am currently writing a Prime number application in visual basic and am trying to figure out how to record the numbers my computer finds prime, i cant just pop out a message box for each one! so i decided i would just have my program export that info to a notepad but i have no idea how to do that! How do i do it?

okay so i recentley bought a Hauppauge 1250 tuner card but was dissillusioned into thinking that i would just plug in the cable cord and be able to watch all of the channels i pay for thru comcast on my computer. Wrong... I could only watch NTSC ATSC Clear QAM and analog tv, so some really crappy programming. SO i was looking around and i found that i needed a cable card in order to watch all of my programming that i pay for through comcast. Thats right, right? and i was wondering if ny tuner cards were Cable Card ready! So i looked around and saw that some ati tuner cards were cable card ready! Is that right? here are some of what i looked at! http://shop.amd.com/US/_layouts/shop/shop-amd.aspx... i chose those because they said they were cable card capable does that eman all i have to do is install them into my computer and using my cable card from comcast put it in the card, and plug in the cable and i could watch my regular programming from comcast? If not please recommend me some cablecard tuners that could do this!

Okay so i just bought a soda machine, for my home... And i was looking around but the only kind of syrup i can find isd DP which is great biut i cant have 10 DP dispensers i wanted to know where to buy coca cola syrups i found some on Sams but it was like off brand syrup.... Any ideas????

I have looked on ebay and found a few machines but the one i like has a little rust on the side... and apparently the compressor part of the carbonator doesnt work, its relatively inerxpsensive, and then there is a another more expensive on ethat has no problems... what should i do?

I am wiring my home with Ethernet, no answers about going wireless please, not reliable enough................. and i dont know where to put the swicth because my attic is tooo hot itll be around 90 degress in the the summer and the max is 104...... it may get to 104....... so i dont want to take chances....... where can i put it? or what are some heavy duties ? thanks:)

So I am going to wire my home with cat6 ethernet! And I went up to the attic to find. Where to put the cable! But. Was instead surrounded by heaps of pink insulation covering roof and the wooden. Wall things! One is it okay to just step on the insulation and normal roof not the hard wooden rafter type thing? And two what do I use to cut the wall open! And I hear I need a box to hold the wall plate? How do I place that?

I have already tried drano, a whol bottle..... and i used a glove and a coat hanger and went deep back and couldnt get anything.... any help guys?
