Married mum of 3, and 28 years old. I have a rare brain condition called Chiari 1 Malformation. I'm no supermum, or perfect mum or any of those things. Just an average mummy with 3 great kids, who mainly cause havoc, destroy things and annoy me. But guess what, I love them.

  • Red instead of seeing pictures on some sites?

Why have I got some bright red where I'd normally see pictures. It's not where all pictures are, just some. Like if I'm on the answers page here, I can see some peoples avatars but others are just a red square. Same with every other site. Some pics, some just red.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks xx

  • Tank with Eggs. Never had them before.?

In my Tropical Tank, I have 1 Gourami (the female died months ago), 2 Sucking loach, 3 Kooli (however it's spelt, sorry) loach, and 1 Upside Down Cat fish. We only moved house 5 days ago, so obviously expected some disturbance with them. However, none have died or appear stressed. I have never bred fish, I just keep them for pleasure, so I have no idea about what I need to know.

Having only just moved, we have a 50% fresh tank water, as I kept 50% of the water for easy removal of tank. I woke up this morning and in one corner of the tank, there is a nest of eggs. There's quite a jellied and fuzzy looking amount. I know we have absolutly no snails in the tank aswell.

Anyone any ideas ? I know it's uncommon for loaches to breed, hence why I'm confused. As there's only 1 gourami in there.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Baby with red dry blotches?

My baby has had dry skin behind her ears and on her ankles since shew as born. She's now 5 and a half months old. We've been applying E45 daily, and it seem's to be a lot better. The last couple of days I've noticed her skin else where has been getting very dry too. After her bath this evening (in plain water, and with johnsons soft wash), I noticed she has 5 or 6 little red blotches on her tummy and her legs are also feeling dry. I've put E45 on them too now. Would this be a Dr thing or a HV thing?

We're changing our washing powder tomorrow, and re washing her clothes, just to make sure it's not that.

  • What to do Valentines?

Not sure what to do. We don't normally make a deal of it, but it's our first one as a married couple, and would like to make it special. Can't go out, as we have a 5 month old. He's already said he'll cook dinner. Any suggestions?

  • I'm looking for a programme that'll let me talk, and draw things to someone else.?

I'm starting a college course in March, and have got a friend that'll help me with my physics/maths, but he lives 200 miles away. If I can find a piece of software that'll let me talk to him (ie phone) and write equations etc (so not type like this, with a stylus or something), it'll be easy for him to show me where I'm wrong etc.

Anyone know of any software that could do that?

    Thanks

  • Why aren't there any Bottle Feeding groups?

As a Breast feeding mum, I can see the benefit of having Breast Feeding Support groups. Having a young baby reliant on you is difficult, but bottle feeding is no less stressful. You still have that precious young one relying on you 24/7. With bottle feeding you have added stress of making and cleaning bottles etc. I bottle fed my elder 2, and now that I've had support with breast feeding, I honestly feel that it would be of benefit to other mum's. Especially with society now looking down on you if you bottle feed. I know how difficult it is to breast feed, and how close I came to giving it up many times.

Would any other mum's like bottle feeding groups? I'm seriously looking into organising one in my area, to see if it would take off.

  • Why don't the aeroplane companies make aeroplanes out of the same stuff that the black box is made from?

It's indestructible, yes? So why can't they just make the aeroplanes out of the same stuff?

I know this has probably got a very logical explanation, which is why I'm asking. Just a curiosity. Thanks :) xx

  • How do I stop my 4yr old from getting up at 5am?

and STEALING ! ! I know it sounds as though I'm over reacting. But every morning at 5am, she is up and wandering around the house, helping herself to anything. I put things out of her reach, she puts anything she can find down to climb on. The latest is her tracing board, which has a plastic cover, I'm surprised it holds her without breaking. She does have a stair/safety gate over her door, but she know how to open it.

I've already been up 4 times this morning, get her back into her room. I'm now sat in the front room and all I can here is her moaning and not crying, but the crocodile tears sound. It's so frustrating.

She also has the most vile temper. She's not spoilt, and she is disciplined. To the point she has no toys in her room, as they've all been taken off of her (She's just crept along the hallway now, thinking I couldn't hear her). Yesterday, we found her writing on her white quilt in red ink ! She's drawn all over her toy box, broke most of her xmas presents, and constantly wees and poops herself. Her friends from reception class, say she's smells and is bossy. When I mention this to her, she actually says "I don't care I like being a baddie". I have 2 other children, 1 is 5 months, and I can't blame her behaviour on the baby, as she was like this before the baby was even thought of, and the older one is a dream (he's 6).

I've signed her up to start Rainbow's as soon as she's 5, I thought it might keep her occupied. Anyone any idea's?

  • How can I delete IE 8?

My laptop has had IE 8 beta put on it. No matter where I look I can't find a way to delete it. I hate it, it's useless and most sites can't display properly on it, and it crashes, a lot.

I've downloaded Firefox for now, and use that, but is there anyway I can get rid of it?

It's not in add/remove programs. I'm on Vista.

    Thanks xxx

  • Why's my hair falling out ?

I have a 5 month old baby, and I understand that your hair gets stuck in the growth phase when pregnant, but is it normal to have it still falling out 5 months later. I don't just mean a little bit. It's constant. No matter how gently I touch my head, I have about 20 strands of hair in my hand, and I can do that repeatedly, and still loads of hair every time. It's really beginning to get to me now.

  • Odd dancing dream, anyone have any insight?

Ok, so I don't normally ask these questions, but I'm wandering if anyone has any insight. I dreamt that....

I was out on a date with a celebrity that I don't find attractive. After dinner he took me to the town centre where there was a big open air dance. We started ballroom dancing around and as he was about to kiss me, another celebrity (that I do find attractive) walked over and took my hand. He walked me all the way through town, back to my husband.

That was it. Nothing else. No words, no anything. Just a date with a guy I don't like, and being taken back to hubby by the guy I find attractive :s

    Any thoughts?

  • Why do people report you to yahoo for silly things?

I was reported for answering someones question with "I'm confused, but then that's easy to do". All because I literally didn't understand the question, in fact the supposed question was actually a statement, and there was "no more detail", so I was just being honest.

Luckily when I appealed, Yahoo understood and put my answer back. I was not offensive, rude, or crude and I broke no rules.

So come on people share, what have you been reported for?

  • What can I do with my 4 year old?

My daughter is going to be 5 in April. she's in reception class at school and has the reading and math age of a year 1 (6-7 year old) child. The thing is, she's a nightmare. Don't get me wrong, I adore her, she's my life. I have 3 children, she is my middle one.

She is toilet trained, but since january I'm having to bath her up to 5 times a day due to her soiling herself. She gets up before any of us are awake and helpos herself to food...chocolates, crisps etc. Things that are out of her reach, but she's climbing up a 6ft shelf to get them. She's destructive, and violent. She's ruined walls, toy boxes, drawn on duvets and climbed her curtains (literally), just so she can pull them off the rail.

She shadows her brother, but when he asks her to leave him alone she throws the mother of all tantrums, and throws things, smashes, hits him etc.

I've spoken to the school and they said she was an angel, until this week. Now she's violent at school and threatening teachers, so they're not happy.

When I talk to her, she says she doesn't know what she's doing, and she doesn't like being naughty. She doesn't like pooping herself, but she says she doesn't know she's doing it.

anyone any idea's, and preferrably not nasty one's. my 6 yr old isn't violent or destructive and neither is the little one. She has cuddles and love as much as she wants and more, we go out as a family and play together too.

  • Fable 2 Live? I haven't seen any orbs. ?

I know that my xbox is set up to live. But as yet, I've not seen these "orbs" that are supposed to be other players on live fable 2 aswell. I'd like to try the fable2 live, just to see what it's like for myself.

Anyone know if I've got to do something else to get it to work? Or add friends etc? I'm at a loss.

    thank

  • I'm still breast feeding my 5 month old baby but Where's my period?

I understand it can take a while for my body to go back to normal cycles. This is baby number 3 for me. But I had 3 bleeds within 6 weeks and now nothing since. I've done a pregnancy test which was neg (well 2 months ago it was). I don't 'feel' pregnant.

How long can it take for body to come back to normal ? I didn't bf my other 2 babies.
