There was a male main character, and he falls for this beautiful woman, and they are running from these bad guys who are witches or something. In the end she turns out to be one of the bad guys and had just lured the guy to be a sacrifice for the coven. What was it called?

When I was young (in the '70s) I read several fiction books in a series that were entertaining and thought provoking, and now that I have kids I'm thinking they might like them too, but I can't remember the titles.

They were set in the late 1800's, the main character was a young boy who was a smart schemer. In one book he was at a boarding school, and figured out how to sneak out and buy candy that he would sell to the other boys. In another someone kidnapped him or his brother, and rode off on horseback with a hair-trigger gun pointed at the boy. In all of them the boy was figuring out a way to make money off other kids and maybe adults.

Does this ring a bell to anyone?

Like, do they run out of space and start getting rid of older books no one reads anymore to make space for new ones? Or do they box the old books and store them away in case someone needs them later?

I've done alot of internet searching, Ebay, etc. Its one of the more common trees in the world and there are lots of acacia seeds for sale, but not the seyal, the grand daddy of them all.

Obama wants to punish the rich, for being successful, by taxing everyone making over $250,000 a year. Don't most mid-size and larger farms make this much in good years, and since they generally aren't incorporated, that is declared on their personal income taxes.

You see alot of Democrats run using this stategy then turn around and raise taxes when they are elected. Who is the last one to actually do it as they promised?
