When you're going up the stairs, you actually have a solid object to trip over (the next stair).

When you're going down the stairs, there are no solid objects that you could trip over, so you're basically tripping over air - I would think that's more of a fail.

I know a lot of people are gonna pick the month their birthdays are in...

My favorite month is October because I love the autumn colors and it's still warm enough to go outside for prolonged periods of time, and it's refreshing to feel the cool air after a long, hot summer. By November, most of the trees have lost their color and September can still be quite hot and muggy since for much of the month it's still summer. And I have allergies in the spring so April isn't as great.
